Specialist General Surgeon

We're Hiring | Specialist General Surgeon 📍 Location: Dubai 💼 Employment Type: Full-Time We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist General Surgeon to join our surgical team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and surgically managing a wide range of general surgical conditions while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. The role includes performing elective and emergency surgical procedures, participating in multidisciplinary care, and ensuring compliance with DHA regulations and international clinical standards. Key Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with general surgical conditions. Perform elective and emergency surgical procedures, including laparoscopic and open surgeries. Manage conditions involving the gastrointestinal tract, abdominal wall, breast, thyroid, soft tissue, and hepatobiliary system within the scope of practice. Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments and provide post-operative care. Perform minor and major surgical procedures according to hospital privileges. Respond to emergency surgical consultations and participate in on-call duties. Collaborate with anesthesiologists, intensivists, radiologists, gastroenterologists, oncologists, and other specialists to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Interpret laboratory investigations and diagnostic imaging to guide surgical management. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, morbidity and mortality reviews, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives. Supervise junior physicians and contribute to teaching and mentoring activities. Ensure compliance with DHA regulations, hospital policies, infection prevention standards, and patient safety protocols. Participate in continuing medical education (CME), research, and professional development activities. Qualifications MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution. Postgraduate qualification in General Surgery (MS, Arab Board, FRCS, CCT, American Board, Canadian Fellowship, Australian Fellowship, or equivalent recognized qualification). Valid DHA License or DHA Eligibility Letter as a Specialist General Surgeon , or eligibility to obtain one. International board certification is preferred.
