Job Overview
This is a new permanent Paediatric Specialty Dr post within the Community Paediatrics Team at West Ham Lane health center. The post will involve working in all 3 areas of our service; Neuro-disability, Autism and safeguarding. The post holder will initially focus on autism assesments within the CHAND team and UASC clinics in safeguarding. In addition it will also involve working in other areas according to service demands, including weekly Child protection on call. The post would suit someone with previous Uk NHS community paediatric experience who is looking to develop their skills further and gain more specialist knowledge and experience.
Main duties of the job
The Job Will Involve Assessment Of Children In Autism, Neurodevelopment And Safe Guarding Services. Job Plan Will Be Reviewed Every 12 Months And Changes To Duties Made To Allow For Service Need, As Well As Post Holders Training Needs And Interests. Initially The Job Will Involve:
Chand - weekly Autism Assesments and ASC Physical examination clinics.
UASC clinics - 2 per month
Child protection On Call - weekly
Cover for Looked after children, EHCP clinics and neuro-developmental clinics when needed.

We provide Forensic services to the whole of North East London. We provide services in urban and rural settings, sometimes in our inpatient units, but mostly in the community close to where people live.
