Is this job info correct?

USE YOUR POWER FOR PURPOSE The Warehouse & Logistics Manager is the single accountable leader for the McPherson, KS site’s 24/7 logistics operations and for the site’s commercial inventory portfolio across its full lifecycle — from receipt of raw materials through final disposition of finished goods. The logistics function includes receiving, warehousing, material movement, and shipping. The role is the authoritative financial, operational, and governance owner of site inventory, holding direct accountability for balance-sheet health, aging and obsolescence strategy, reserve justification and execution, and write-off compliance, and operates as Finance’s authoritative inventory counterpart. A distinguishing accountability is end-to-end governance of the DHL offsite external warehouse — full 3PL lifecycle ownership spanning operations, performance, compliance, contract, and cost. The role provides direct leadership of the Warehouse & Logistics team and is required to maintain a culture of compliance, audit readiness, customer focus, innovation and inclusion, providing leadership and guidance through appropriate application of technical knowledge to troubleshoot challenges and identify and implement process improvements. Sitting at the structural intersection of supply execution, demand planning, logistics, quality, regulatory, and finance, the role collaborates with operations, quality, customer service, global supply chain, finance, procurement and external suppliers to assure alignment, and is a member of the Supply Chain Operations Leadership Team. As the single point of accountability for site inventory risk and balance-sheet exposure, the role equips site and above-site leadership to make high-stakes inventory decisions with financial clarity and operational discipline. Geographic scope: McPherson, KS site (24/7 operations), including the associated DHL external warehouse. WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE In order of importance, indicate the primary responsibilities critical to the performance of the role. It is recommended not to list actual tasks but focus on 5-8 essential responsibilities that highlight accountability and level of judgment required. Warehouse & logistics operations delivery — Deliver logistics services and support to the site to ensure materials are received, moved, and shipped on-time and in a compliant manner to meet internal and external customer needs, across the 24/7 receiving, warehousing, material-movement, and shipping operation. Safety leadership — Drive safety performance and safety improvements across the warehouse and logistics operations. Logistics master planning — Assure the Logistics Master Plan is aligned with the overall Site Master Plan. Financial ownership & budget governance — Own and defend the site inventory budget across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods with quarterly targets, Latest Estimate (LE), rolling 12-month forecast, and variance analysis; create annual expense budgets and successfully execute against them; serve as Finance’s authoritative inventory counterpart and own budget and cost governance for all logistics and external-warehousing (DHL 3PL) spend. Reserve strategy & write-off authority — Establish, govern, and continuously refresh the site reserve strategy; structure reserve justifications that withstand internal audit and external regulatory review; lead all inventory write-off and destruction activity end-to-end (approval, documentation, compliance, system execution) targeting zero audit findings. Demand-integrated inventory strategy & working capital — Design and govern site inventory strategyanchored to BOM integrity, MRP demand signals, demonstrated production capacity, and S&OP commitments; set and dynamically recalibrate safety-stock policy by material class; execute optimization that improves the cash conversion cycle and reduces net working capital without compromising supply continuity. DHL 3PL end-to-end governance (net-new) — Serve as single accountable owner of the DHL offsite warehouse across its full lifecycle: onboarding, steady-state operations, KPI/performance governance (inventory record accuracy, cycle time, throughput, discrepancy rate, audit readiness), contract and commercial stewardship, invoice and cost governance, and transition; interact with and provide guidance to third-party logistics providers. Regulatory compliance, audit readiness & audit representation — Ensure regulatory compliance (GMP, DEA, Safety, Environmental, etc.) and lead a culture of compliance; create a state of audit readiness and participate in and/or lead self-audits; represent the Warehouse & Logistics function during regulatory and customer audits. External-site quality & compliance — Partner with Quality/Regulatory to maintain DHL GDP/GMP compliance, controlled-substance security, and inspection readiness at parity with on-site standards; own the external-warehouse qualification framework, ongoing surveillance, and corrective action. Cross-functional & governance-forum leadership — Chair the Material Review Board (MRB) and distressed-inventory forums; serve as inventory risk owner in S&OP, capacity-review, and supply-planning forums; lead inventory risk assessment and financial-impact analysis for new product introductions, transfers, site changes, and regulatory submissions. People leadership, culture & HR process execution — Execute HR processes for the Warehouse & Logistics team (staffing, development planning, talent assessment, performance management, succession planning, discipline, recognition); articulate, role model, and provide leadership toward the desired culture. Continuous improvement — Drive continuous improvement in all facets of the operations (safety, quality, cost, service). Data, analytics & capability building — Own inventory reporting infrastructure (KPIs, data sources, review cadences); advance forecasting from period-end reactive analysis to rolling predictive insight; partner with Digital/IT to leverage SAP and automation; build transferable external-warehousing/3PL playbooks and standards. HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED (Minimum Requirements) Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 6 years of experience; OR a master's degree with at least 5 years of experience; OR a PhD with 1+ years of experience BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE (Preferred Requirements) Pharmaceutical, biotech, medical-device, or FDA-regulated manufacturing experience, including GMP/GDP as applied to inventory, external warehousing, and controlled-substance handling. Prior experience managing or transitioning an external warehouse / 3PL relationship — qualification, governance, performance management, and contract stewardship. Experience leading OTE and Staff workforces. Exposure to multiple manufacturing practices, supply chain management, and project management experience. APICS CSCP, CPIM, or ASCM certification. Six Sigma Green Belt (or equivalent) in a regulated environment. Prior accountability for a logistics/warehousing budget — 3PL cost management, invoice governance, andLE/forecast development.
