Staff Digital Design Engineer | Oslo, Norway
Up to NOK 1,000,000–1,200,000 (€92,000–€110,000) + benefits

I’m recruiting for a Staff Digital Design Engineer to join the Oslo engineering team of a major international semiconductor company developing advanced imaging and sensor technology used in products around the world.
This is a particularly interesting opportunity for an experienced ASIC designer who wants more technical ownership, rather than another role where you spend the next five years designing one small block.
You’ll work across a much broader part of the chip development lifecycle, including:
- RTL design and microarchitecture
- Synthesis, constraints and STA
- PPA optimisation
- Full-chip integration
- Working with physical design through implementation
- Silicon bring-up, validation and debug
- Mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction
The strongest candidates will have solid experience in RTL design, synthesis constraints and STA.
Experience with DFT, low-power design, verification or technical leadership would be a strong advantage, but you do not need to come from an imaging background.
Why Oslo?
For engineers considering an international move, Norway offers something quite different from the usual semiconductor locations.
You get access to genuinely interesting semiconductor engineering while living in a country known for high quality of life, excellent work-life balance, safety, clean cities and immediate access to nature.
The team itself is international and highly experienced, with engineers from a range of backgrounds and experience levels.
Most importantly, you do not need to already live in Norway.
International applications welcomed

Staff-level technical ownership and future leadership opportunities
If you’re a strong Digital ASIC Designer and have ever thought “I’d move countries for the right opportunity”, this might be one worth exploring.
Message Steph Hutchinson for the details.
