PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Store Attendant is responsible for receiving, checking, recording, organising, storing and issuing stock for a prestigious VVIP private estate.
The position ensures that food and beverage products, housekeeping supplies, maintenance materials and other estate items are stored securely, accurately recorded and issued only through approved procedures. The Store Attendant must maintain a clean and orderly storeroom while protecting luxury, imported and high-value stock.
Qualifications
Secondary school education or equivalent
Certificate in Warehousing, Inventory Management, Logistics or Supply Chain advantageous
Food Safety and Hygiene certification highly regarded
Manual-handling or workplace safety training advantageous
Forklift or relevant equipment licence beneficial where required
Good spoken and written English — mandatory
Hindi or another Indian language advantageous
Basic computer and data-entry skills
Physically capable of lifting, carrying and moving stock safely
Available to relocate to Amman, Jordan
EXPERIENCE
Minimum three years' experience in stores, warehousing or inventory control
Previous experience in a five-star hotel, luxury property, hospital, large institution or private estate preferred
Experience receiving deliveries and verifying quantities, quality and documentation
Experience maintaining manual and electronic inventory records
Knowledge of stocktaking and stock-rotation procedures
Experience handling food, beverage, housekeeping or maintenance supplies advantageous
Experience handling imported, luxury or high-value items highly regarded
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive deliveries from approved contractors and suppliers
Check delivered items against purchase orders and delivery documentation
Verify quantities, specifications, condition, quality and expiry dates
Report shortages, discrepancies, damaged items or incorrect deliveries
Ensure that delivery documents are properly signed, recorded and filed
Label, categorise and store all received items correctly
Maintain accurate stock records within the inventory-management system
Record all stock received, transferred, returned and issued
Issue supplies to authorised departments against approved requisitions
Maintain accurate records of stock issued to each department
Monitor stock levels and report low-stock or excess-stock situations
Assist with regular stocktakes, cycle counts and inventory reconciliations
Investigate and report stock discrepancies, damage, loss or expiry
Follow FIFO and FEFO stock-rotation procedures
Monitor expiry dates and identify slow-moving or obsolete stock
Store food, chemicals and other controlled products in the appropriate designated areas
Maintain correct storage temperatures where applicable
Keep storerooms clean, organised, secure and free from hazards
Protect luxury, imported, fragile and high-value items
Restrict storeroom access to authorised personnel
Respond promptly to approved and urgent departmental requests
Coordinate professionally with Purchasing, Accounts and estate departments
Follow all purchasing, approval and stock-issuing procedures
Assist with the safe movement, loading and unloading of supplies
Comply with health, safety, food-hygiene and manual-handling requirements
Maintain discretion and confidentiality concerning estate operations and purchases
Perform other reasonable storekeeping duties as directed by management

SALARY
JOD 350 per month, approximately USD 490.
