Stubbs Engineering is seeking a licensed Structural Engineer (PE) who is ready to take the next step in their career. What You'll Do

  • Lead structural engineering projects from concept through construction administration
  • Design steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures in accordance with applicable codes and project requirements
  • Coordinate directly with architects, owners, contractors, and project stakeholders
  • Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and provide construction-phase support
  • Perform occasional site visits and structural observations
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
  • Mentor junior engineers and support the development of engineering and drafting staff
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Support business development efforts and contribute to the continued growth of the firm
  • Collaborate with a team that values practical problem-solving and high-quality engineering


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Minimum 4 years of structural engineering experience
  • Experience designing commercial, institutional, industrial, or similar building structures
  • Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, building codes, and construction practices
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment


Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of the NCEES 8-Hour Civil Structural Examination
  • Experience leading project teams and mentoring junior engineers
  • Experience with construction administration and field observations
  • Experience working directly with clients, architects, and contractors
  • Interest in leadership and long-term career growth


Preferred Software Experience

Experience with one or more of the following:

  • RISA
  • ENERCALC
  • Autodesk Revit
  • Bluebeam

Equivalent structural analysis and design software experience will also be considered.

Work Environment
