Renumeration: $83,670.00 - $132,523.13 per annum (+ super +17.5% leave loading where applicable)

About The Role

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of women, babies and families across the Murrumbidgee region. As the Substance Use in Pregnancy and Parenting Service (SUPPS) Clinician, you will provide specialised support to women experiencing moderate to severe substance use challenges during pregnancy and early parenting. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver compassionate, trauma-informed care that promotes positive health and social outcomes for women, infants and families through advocacy, care coordination, assessment and therapeutic intervention. Based in Wagga Wagga, this district-wide role offers a flexible blend of face-to-face, home visiting and telehealth service delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide specialist assessment, care coordination and therapeutic support to women experiencing substance use challenges during pregnancy and early parenting.
  • Deliver trauma-informed, person-centred care that promotes positive outcomes for women, infants and families.
  • Develop and implement holistic care plans, advocate for clients and connect them with appropriate health and community services.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community partners to deliver integrated, evidence-based care across the Murrumbidgee region.
  • Provide support through a combination of face-to-face, home visiting and telehealth services while maintaining high-quality clinical documentation.

Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria

  • Relevant Australian-recognised tertiary qualifications and registration/membership in one of the following disciplines:

Occupational Therapist Level 3 (AHPRA registration)

Psychologist (AHPRA registration)

Counsellor Level 3 (PACFA membership or eligibility)

Social Worker Level 3 (AASW membership or eligibility)

Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 (AHPRA registration, minimum three years post-registration experience in alcohol and other drugs, and a relevant postgraduate qualification)

  • Demonstrated experience supporting individuals and families experiencing substance use challenges
  • A current NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel as required
  • A current Working With Children Check
  • Vaccination Category A compliance
  • Australian working rights
