Project Overview: As a Supplier Relationship Manager, you will oversee GBU and regional coverage of suppliers and subcontractors primarily in the Mining market segment. You will be an architect of these partnerships, ensuring they are not only established but actively nurtured to drive long-term value. From analyzing supplier capabilities to delivering high-impact proposals, you will serve as the central point of coordination. Job Summary: In this role, you will lead project supply chain operations and oversee assigned Supply Chain personnel. You will be responsible for developing and executing procurement and subcontracting strategies, including planning, sourcing, contract administration, and the timely delivery of goods and services. The role ensures implementation of the project Supply Chain plan while monitoring safety, quality, cost, schedule, and supplier performance. You will also ensure compliance with contractual requirements and that all parties fulfill their obligations under purchase orders and subcontracts. #LI-NP1 Supervision Received Reports to the Corporate Manager of Supplier Relationship Management (SRM). Receives operational and functional guidance from the Global Manager, Mining & Metals (M&M). Supervision Exercised May lead, oversee, and collaborate with Supply Chain team members and other project personnel. Exercises independent judgment in making decisions aligned with project objectives and company policies and procedures. Major Responsibilities: Engages with business units to expand supplier relationships and execution strategies Develops and maintains Supplier or Contractor Engagement Plans Active user on Dynamics platform Represents Bechtel in supplier forums and other engagements Expand culture of supplier relationship and project engagement with targeted suppliers Develops an operational plan to ensure coverage of supplier relationships at the business line and regional levels. Ensures that resources are available and appropriate to the workload, recruiting specialized help as necessary. Manages the internal supplier review and screening process. Collaborates with GBUs on strategic plans, supplier analyses Performs special assignments related to business development and proposal activities, in addition to EPC execution. The responsibility for identification of transactional, relational, and strategic relationships as well as the management and administration of supplier relationships may occur at various levels of the Supply Chain organization. Corporate, GBU and regional may all take an active role in supplier relationship management. Regardless of which Supply Chain organization is taking the lead for the relationship, the lead Supply Chain organization will assume responsibility for the following: Develop and maintain clear channels of communication with supplier Coordinate meetings and formal discussions and document the results Update senior management on significant developments or issues Maintain the Dynamics platform with information as required for supplier Facilitate corporate objectives through relationship management Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience Required Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively in environments with limited structure or guidance. Proven leadership, management, and supervisory experience, including directing and developing teams. Strong understanding of proposal development and formal proposal preparation processes. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated experience working with suppliers and supporting Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project execution. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders. Strong organizational and decision-making skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Experience supporting large-scale industrial, mining, infrastructure, or EPC projects.
