Ellos HR Solutions is partnering with a well-established multinational Tier 1 automotive manufacturer to recruit an experienced Supply Chain Manager for one of its operations in the Kansas City metropolitan area.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a strategic supply chain leader who thrives in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment and enjoys driving operational excellence across purchasing, materials, inventory, supplier performance, and customer delivery.

What We're Looking For

✅ 10+ years of progressive Supply Chain, Purchasing, or Materials Management experience

✅ Extensive background with a Tier 1 automotive supplier

✅ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)

✅ Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and automotive quality systems

✅ Experience supporting APQP launches and new product introductions

✅ Proven leadership experience managing purchasing, materials, inventory, and logistics teams

✅ Strong negotiation, supplier development, and strategic sourcing experience

✅ Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills

✅ APICS certification is considered an asset

What You'll Be Doing

✔ Lead the Purchasing and Materials functions while ensuring uninterrupted production support

✔ Develop sourcing strategies, negotiate supplier agreements, and strengthen supplier relationships

✔ Drive inventory optimization, material planning, and on-time customer delivery performance

✔ Monitor key supply chain KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives

✔ Support new program launches, cross-functional projects, and operational excellence initiatives

✔ Lead supplier performance reviews, corrective action plans, and cost reduction activities

✔ Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Customer Service to achieve business objectives

✔ Coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team
