For every child, the right to a Champion As a Supply & Logistics Manager, you report to the Chief of Supply or Chief of Operations as per the Country Office (CO) set-up and are responsible for managing the supply chains of a medium to large-sized country office, and/or medium sized emergency response operation. The supply chain operations include planning, procurement, contracting, customs clearance, warehousing, in country transport and distribution, as well as monitoring of supplies, services and construction works. You collaborate closely with programmes in defining supply interventions to meet programmatic needs and achieve results for children, and provide technical and advisory support to governments, national systems and partners on supply chain management. Work Experience : At least 8 years of relevant work experience in Supply Management, Supply Management/Contracting/Logistics, Administration, Vendor Management, Warehousing, Inventory Management, Transportation, Emergency Response, Public Sector Procurement and any other related fields. Skills : Extensive experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Operations, Risk Management, and Negotiation Skills required. Language Requirements : Fluency in French and English is required. Desirables Language: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish) or a local language Knowledge of Emergency Response Management, Humanitarian Programme Management, Health Supply Management, Supply Chain Certification, and Logistics Cluster Coordination is considered an asset.
