Entity: Finance Job Family Group: Business Support Group Job Description: As an MRP Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted supply of raw materials and packaging components required to support production plans, customer demand, and inventory objectives across the supply network. You will develop and implement material requirement plans, manage supplier replenishment activities, resolve supply risks, and optimize inventory performance to support business continuity and operational excellence. In addition to managing day-to-day material planning activities, you will play a critical role in supporting the transition of MRP processes and responsibilities from Thailand to Malaysia. Working closely with subject matter experts and collaborators across both locations, you will participate in knowledge transfer activities, document planning processes, capture key business knowledge, and help embed guidelines within the Malaysia team. Your contribution will be essential in building sustainable planning capabilities, ensuring operational stability, and maintaining service performance throughout the transition period. You will collaborate with Procurement, Manufacturing, Demand Planning, Logistics, and suppliers to proactively manage supply challenges, support new product introductions and product lifecycle transitions, and provide material planning insights into S&OP and S&OE processes. Through continuous improvement and strong collaborator engagement, you will help strengthen planning effectiveness, supply chain resilience, and long-term business performance. What you will deliver As an MRP Planner, you will be responsible for delivering reliable and sustainable raw material supply plans that support production requirements, customer service objectives, and inventory targets across the supply network. You will proactively manage material availability, identify and mitigate supply risks, and optimize inventory levels to balance service, cost, and working capital performance. Working closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, Demand Planning, Logistics, and suppliers, you will drive effective replenishment and resolve material shortages, supply disruptions, and planning exceptions to ensure business continuity and operational excellence. You will also support new product introductions and product lifecycle transitions by ensuring material readiness while minimizing inventory exposure and obsolescence risks. In addition, you will maintain high standards of planning data quality, system integrity, and master data governance to enable accurate planning outcomes and informed decision-making. Through active participation in S&OP and S&OE processes, you will provide supply insights, risk assessments, and recommendations that support balanced business decisions. You will continuously find opportunities to improve planning effectiveness, enhance supply chain resilience, and drive process excellence through continuous improvement and adoption of protocols. What you will need to be successful Education: University degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Statistics, or equivalent. Significant experience in lubricants, CPG, or chemical industry. Strong functional and leadership capability in demand and supply planning. Fluent in English with language proficiency in Chinese (Read, Write and Speak). Experience: 5+ years of relevant business experience with strong communication and influencing skills. Ability to identify and act on opportunities to improve business outcomes. Skilled at meeting tight deadlines and handling challenging situations confidently. Proven ability to work with diverse cross-functional teams to achieve results, solve problems, and improve processes. Independent judgment and decision-making capability. Knowledge of statistical analysis and hands-on experience in supply planning, DRP (Distribution Requirements Planning), and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) processes. Skills & Competencies Mastery level in Planning Management including Supply Planning. Skilled level in Demand Control, Communication, Partnership and Teamwork, Business Awareness / Models Skilled level in using business tools like MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and ERP tools like SAP, Kinaxis. You will work with: The FBT Supply Planning team plays a vital role in ensuring product availability and meeting dynamic demand in the market. Engagement with Sales and Marketing through S&OP and S&OE forums aligns supply plans with market demand and promotional activities, supporting customer satisfaction. Collaboration with Logistics and Distribution Partners ensures timely delivery of finished goods across Thailand, optimizing transport and storage while minimizing risks. The team also works with Finance and Business Planning to manage costs, margins, and working capital, reinforcing BP’s performance-driven approach. Finally, connectivity with Regional and Global Supply Chain Teams ensures compliance, standard methodologies, and continuous improvement, reflecting bp-Castrol ’s One Team culture.
