Opportunity Details We are seeking full-time Surgical Pathologists and Surgical Pathologists with Cytopathology training to join an clinical practice group affiliated with George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, DC. This role offers a strong academic environment with teaching and research opportunities, allowing you to focus on Surgical Pathology/Cytopathology while working alongside a collaborative multidisciplinary team of clinicians and investigators. Quick Facts Full-Time employed position Standard schedule with clinical, teaching, and research responsibilities Rotational call (varies by department needs) High-volume academic medical center case mix Join a team composed of eight physicians, two Ph.Ds, and three Pathology Assistants, as well as a larger multidisciplinary team of surgeons, oncologists, residents, fellows, and research faculty State-of-the-art pathology and hospital systems Responsibilities Positions will focus on Surgical Pathology and Cytopathology with addiitonal Surgical Pathology services across general and subspecialty areas (GI/liver, breast, GYN, GU, thoracic, or other areas of expertise) Teach and mentor residents, fellows, and medical students Participate in multidisciplinary conferences and collaborative care Engage in scholarly activity, including clinical or translational research Collaborate with clinicians and basic science investigators Document findings and reports using institutional systems Compensation & Benefits Salary: Competitive compensation package commensurate with experience and training Sign-on / Relocation: Available based on candidate and institutional guidelines Health, Dental, Vision & Retirement: Comprehensive benefits package PTO, CME & Schedule Flexibility Wellness & Work-Life Balance Support Qualifications Board Certified/Board Eligible in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic & Clinical Pathology For Cytopathology position, fellowship training and experience in Cytopathology required Eligible for medical licensure in the District of Columbia Interest in academic medicine, teaching, and research Growth & Development Academic appointment with rank based on experience Opportunities for research, publication, and academic advancement Collaboration with leading clinicians and researchers Access to a robust academic and clinical infrastructure Washington, DC offers a unique blend of professional opportunity and cultural richness, with world-class museums, dining, and historical landmarks.
