System Architect

Mechanical System Architect | Eindhoven

For one of our clients in Eindhoven, we are looking for an experienced Mechanical System Architect to take a key technical role in the development of complex high-tech systems.

About the role

As a Mechanical System Architect, you will be responsible for defining and maintaining the mechanical system architecture within complex development projects. You will act as the bridge between customer requirements, system-level thinking, and the practical realization of mechanical modules and components.

Your responsibilities include:

• Translating customer and system requirements into a consistent mechanical architecture
• Defining and maintaining system and module specifications
• Performing technical assessments and trade-off studies
• Making and supporting key technical design decisions
• Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams across mechanics, electronics, software, manufacturing, and project management
• Supporting engineers in solving complex technical and design challenges
• Documenting and maintaining architectural decisions and design rationale
• Contributing to technology choices and future system roadmaps
• Supporting knowledge development within the mechanical engineering competence

What we are looking for

• WO/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable technical field
• Minimum 5 years of experience within a high-tech and/or semiconductor environment
• Strong experience in system design and complex technical development
• Ability to translate abstract requirements into practical and technically feasible solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering environments
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Professional proficiency in English; Dutch is an advantage

What we offer

• Salary between €5,800 and €6,900 gross per month
• Full-time position of 38–40 hours per week
