Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Systems Integration Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located on site in Melbourne, Florida. The Systems Integration Engineer will play a key role in integrating complex aerospace and defense systems across the system development lifecycle. This role supports the planning, execution, and evaluation of system integration activities and defines and implements processes to ensure hardware, software, and mission systems operate together as intended. The engineer will collaborate closely with Systems, Software, Hardware, Test, and Specialty Engineering teams to identify applicable integration processes and guide products toward a cohesive, integrated solution. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Experience with applied SysML using Cameo Systems Modeler or Equivalent software. Familiarity with model governance concepts, such as configuration management and control processes. Ability to review models for compliance with organizational modeling standards and best practices. Work on an agile team utilizing Jira to track work progress Communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings at technical and program reviews and boards. Apply extensive technical expertise in the development of technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to present technical information to customers, program leadership and engineering teams. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS : Systems Engineer : Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline and 2 years of related professional/military experience, OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related professional/military experience. Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline and 5 years of related professional/military experience, OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related professional/military experience, OR a PhD in a STEM discipline and 1 year of experience. Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company. Experience with the systems engineering lifecycle in accordance with industry best practices, including requirements development, system architecture, integration, verification, validation, or transition to operations. Experience with horizontal integration across multiple subsystems, platforms, suppliers and engineering disciplines to ensure end-to-end system functionality Experience with Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR) such as System Requirements Review (SRR), System Functional Review (SFR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), or Test Readiness Review (TRR). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : MBSE experience across requirements, architecture, integration, verification, and validation Working knowledge of the DoD Acquisition Framework and lifecycle processes. Familiarity with systems engineering standards and guidance (INCOSE, MIL-STD-881, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461) and enterprise architecture frameworks (UAF/DoDAF). Proficiency with Agile workflows (e.g., Scrum/Kanban), including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and iterative delivery Demonstrated experience supporting cross-functional engineering teams and stakeholders. Proven ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and timelines Proficiency with SQL and Python; experience with Velocity (VTL) scripting. Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
