Team Leader (Design), Connections Services ScottishPower HQ, 320 St Vincent Street, Glasgow, G2 5AD Salary from £45,400 - £56,750 per annum Permanent Office Based role Help us create a better future, quicker As Team Leader, you will lead, coach and develop a high-performing team, driving productivity, quality and customer outcomes in line with business objectives. You will be accountable for delivering operational, regulatory and customer performance targets through effective people management, performance coaching, and the continual embedding of Operational Excellence and continuous improvement principles. What you’ll be doing Lead by example by providing strong leadership and operational direction through direct feedback and coaching whilst motivating team members to ensure optimal performance. Be relentless in achieving results ensuring that performance is managed effectively to meet SPEN objectives, embedding a culture of accountability and continuous improvement Deliver team performance against defined regulatory, quality, productivity and customer KPIs (including TTQ, GS, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction measures), driving high-quality outputs and right-first-time performance, minimising rework through root-cause analysis and targeted coaching interventionsBuild and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, proactively collaborating to improve delivery and customer outcomes. Comply with all HR Policies and Procedures Embed a structured performance management approach, including regular 1:1s, coaching, documented feedback, and development planning aligned to individual capability and business needs. Drive awareness and comply with Company Health, Safety and Environmental requirements and HR policies and update them on particular issues as they arise, working towards a zero-accident culture. Ensure team is fully aware of any changes in policy that impacts the network and therefore accuracy of designs. Contribute to the development & delivery of the departmental Operating Plan Deliver excellent customer service to all aspects of your operation and instil this in your team. Promote and embed Operational Excellence (OPEX) by identifying, implementing, and tracking measurable process improvements and efficiencies. Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety, regulatory, quality, and governance requirements, including audit, assurance, and authorisation frameworks. Actively manage and improve customer journey outcomes, including escalation handling, complaint resolution, and proactive intervention to improve customer feedback scores What you’ll bring You'll be a confident and inspiring people leader with experience managing and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. With a strong focus on customer service and operational excellence, you'll be skilled in coaching, performance management and identifying development opportunities that help individuals and teams reach their full potential. You'll have excellent planning and organisational abilities, using data, reporting and performance insights to drive productivity, improve customer outcomes and deliver continuous improvement. Comfortable managing complex operational challenges, you'll be able to make informed decisions, implement effective solutions and work collaboratively across teams to achieve business objectives. You'll also bring a sound understanding of Health & Safety, HR policies and regulatory requirements, alongside strong communication and IT skills, enabling you to engage effectively with colleagues and stakeholders while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance and performance.
