Tech Advisor Broiler I

Job Details: Summary : This position is responsible for providing technical assistance to producers caring for the company's birds regarding the proper care and comfort. Duties would include, but are not limited to : A dvising producers on building and equipment specifications, litter manipulation, and farm sanitation. Visiting f arm s to document bird comfort, manage flock and equipment settings, monitor bird health, and provid e remedy when possible. Monitoring feed consumption and ordering if necessary P ulling blood and fat samples as required C oordinating chick placements to farms Assisting with catch schedules E nsuring communication among H atchery, F eedmill , and L ivehaul departments regarding their contract farms . E nsuring compliance with the production contract to optimize flock quality and minimize costs . E nsuring adherence to all USDA and other government regulations regarding poultry handling. W orking with the Broiler and Breeder Departments in coordinating weekly chick placements P erforming other responsibilities as the need arises. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in an agricultural field or equivalent experience relevant to the position preferred. Experience: 1+ years’ experience in a poultry or agriculture-related field preferred. Strong Communication Skills: Ability to convey information clearly and effectively through both verbal and written means. Proficiency in active listening, ensuring mutual understanding, and adapting communication style to various audiences . Computer Skills: Basic computer skills such as checking electronic mail, entering data into document templates, or creating simple queries. Travel: 1 to 5 trips per year. Additional Requirement: Must not own, possess , or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild, or exotic fowl.
