Technical Regulatory Compliance Technologist Role Summary: The Large Power Systems Division (LPSD) has an opening for a Technical Regulatory Compliance Technologist with the Engine and Power Systems Regulatory Compliance (EPRC) marking team. The Technical Regulatory Compliance Technologist will support all Caterpillar and Perkins large diesel engine emission compliance markings to ensure worldwide emissions regulatory requirements are met. This key position assists in managing compliance risk and ensuring compliance with applicable emission regulatory requirements for intended markets. The emission marking team uniquely collaborates with multiple functional areas globally as part of regular responsibilities; including manufacturing, platform and product engineering, GIS, dealers, and aftermarket. What you will do: Ensure regulatory compliance marking requirements are met, including design and installation for all Caterpillar and Perkins large diesel engines Identify continuous improvement and efficiency opportunities for processes and tools used to manage emission regulatory compliance risks Collaborate with product groups, factory operations, and aftermarket to ensure the development, validation and production of products that meet applicable emission regulatory requirements while supporting our core business Provide emission marking regulatory guidance for the business on engine emission compliance marking Support Caterpillar and Perkins large diesel engines product development programs through Voice of the Regulator (VoR) processes to ensure that emission compliance marking requirements are identified early in each program Become familiar with all relevant emission regulatory product marking requirements. Skills you will have: Data Gathering & Analysis: Working knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment. Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Working knowledge and understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision. Collaborating: Basic understanding and knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner. Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Basic understanding and knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. Top candidates will have: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Basic knowledge of Risk Management processes, tools and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds. Prior regulatory compliance experience.
