Technology Designer (Telecom/Security) – Project Consultant Role Overview: Project Consultants oversee the full lifecycle of telecommunications and security engineering projects—partnering closely with Fortune 100 clients, public sector agencies, and internal teams. You’ll lead design strategy, manage project delivery, support marketing initiatives, and serve as a subject‑matter expert across the firm. This position may be based fully remote , with preference for candidates in Seattle, WA (relocation assistance available). Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership Develop and oversee telecom and security system designs across multiple building types (education, retail, commercial TI, mission‑critical, data centers). Lead design efforts in Revit; ensure drawing consistency and adherence to standards. Create specifications, cost opinions, and detailed scopes of work. Provide technical guidance, QC reviews, and thought leadership across project teams. Collaborate with marketing on resumes, case studies, design philosophy content, and project profiles. Lead and participate in RFQ/RFP responses and project interviews. Present industry topics and program updates to clients and stakeholders. Project Delivery & Financial Management Oversee project team workload, milestones, and deliverables. Maintain monthly workload forecasting and support fee proposal development. Track project financials, AR, invoices, and additional services requests. Implement processes that improve team efficiency, time management, and design consistency. Qualifications: 10+ years in the telecom/security industry. 5+ years in construction (plan/spec or design‑build). 5+ years of direct client‑facing consulting or construction experience. 5+ years presenting program status and improvement opportunities. RCDD (Telecom) or PSP (Security) certification preferred Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred (not required). Experience across at least two building types. Strong Revit proficiency. Excellent communication, organization, and team‑leadership skills. Experience managing internal/external engineering teams and reviewing contracts.
