Terminal & Vessel Operations Coordinator ( Oil & Gas Trading )

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Terminal & Vessel Operations Executive with 3+ years of experience in Oil & Gas Trading, Petroleum Trading, Commodity Trading, Shipping, or Terminal Operations.

The candidate will be responsible for coordinating vessel operations, terminal activities, cargo movements, shipping documentation, and international shipment execution.

Oil & Gas / Commodity Trading experience is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate vessel and terminal operations, including loading, discharging, berthing, and cargo movements.
• Monitor ETA, ETD, NOR, vessel schedules, and shipment status.
• Coordinate with ship owners, charterers, vessel agents, terminals, surveyors, suppliers, and buyers.
• Manage shipping documents including B/L, COQ, COA, quantity certificates, and cargo documents.
• Coordinate cargo nominations, inspections, sampling, and shipment execution.
• Monitor laytime, demurrage/despatch, freight, and port-related costs.
• Coordinate with Trading, Shipping, Logistics, and Finance teams.
• Ensure shipments comply with contractual terms, terminal procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Resolve operational issues, delays, and documentation discrepancies.
• Provide regular updates on vessel, cargo, terminal, and shipment status.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Shipping, Maritime Studies, Business, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably within an Oil & Gas / Commodity Trading company.
• Strong knowledge of vessel operations, terminal operations, international shipments, and cargo handling.
• Good understanding of Incoterms, Laytime, Demurrage, NOR, ETA/ETD, B/L, and Charter Party terms.
• Experience coordinating with international buyers, suppliers, ship owners, charterers, and terminals.
• Strong communication, coordination, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
• UAE experience. (Mandatory)
