Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a site Tool and Die Making Manager 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Tooling organization. This leader will be responsible for providing the people, processes and technology to support tool and die making on multiple programs on site in Iuka, MS . Key Responsibilities: Stay current on concepts, practices, and procedures in the tooling/manufacturing field, and actively explore new technological applications. Ensure tooling support for build and maintenance activities for production transition and sustained production efforts. Establish, maintain, and continuously improve processes and procedures that support Strike program efforts. Promote consistent, current, and common tool sets and processes across the organization and program IPTs by collaborating with Aeronautics Systems Sector Tooling Management. Monitor and manage risk items, ensuring mitigating actions are effective and timely. Champion Lean, Knowledge Management, and other process improvement initiatives; drive sharing of lessons learned and best practices across the organization. Perform management duties including personnel performance evaluations, merit planning, employee development, and use of EVMS to manage direct costs. Supervise employees involved in daily operations, including Milling Machine Machinists, Aircraft Equipment Expeditors, and Dimension Control Technicians, as well as tool fabrication, jig and fixture building, template and pattern making, and model building. Willing to travel up to 10% of the time as required. Able to support a minimum of a 10% extended workweek. Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 4 years of related professional and/or military experience in manufacturing, aerospace, design, tooling/tool engineering, manufacturing engineering, integration, and/or fabrication. Minimum of 1 year of prior management and/or leadership experience. Your ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. Government Secret Clearance and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company. The ability to work all shifts; 1st, 2nd , and 3/10s as well as supporting overtime and holidays as needed, based on program needs. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (STEM discipline preferred). Tool and die making or machine shop experience, with a strong background in assembly. tooling, machine shop operations, welding, periodic tooling inspections, verifications, and rework. Experience working in automated tooling environments. Active U.S. Government Secret clearance with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrollment in Continuous Evaluation. SAP access to programs. Primary Level Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $135,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
