Location : Jamnagar Reporting To : Design & Development Engineer Position Summary: ASSA ABLOY is seeking candidates for a Tool & Die Maker position in the Engineering / Design & Development Department, based at our Jamnagar plant (Shree Mahavir Metalcraft Pvt. Ltd.). Company Websites: www.assaabloy.com www.enox.in www.yalehome.com Role & Responsibilities: • Design and development of new press tools & casting tools, Fixtures, Gauges, & Jigs. • Perform new tool assembly, and adjustments to ensure proper functioning and alignment. • Provide immediate support to new product development team for timely projects execution. • Manufacture, repair, and maintain press tools & die casting tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges using conventional and non-conventional machines. • Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance of tools to reduce breakdowns and improve tool life. • Perform die sharpening, polishing, and fine-tuning to maintain dimensional accuracy. • Ensure all tools/dies meet quality, dimensional, and performance requirements during trial and production runs. • Provide timely troubleshooting during production issues related to tool wear, alignment, or part defects. • Maintain documentation of tool repairs, modifications, and maintenance activities. • Ensure compliance with safety guidelines in machining and tool handling Required Skills & Competencies: • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication, teamwork, and time management abilities. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is preferred. Proficiency in machining, fitting, assembly, and precision measurement Educational Qualifications: • Diploma in Tool & Die Making, Tool Engineering, or equivalent. • Exposure to CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD, NX, SolidWorks, or Creo) is an added advantage.
