Project Overview: Thacker Pass is the largest known lithium resource in the United States and the next large-scale lithium mine. The project has all permits required to commence construction, which is expected to start in 2024. Engineering design and procurement of long-lead equipment is underway, with early works being coordinated. This project falls under the Lithium Americas umbrella of Lithium Nevada Corporation (LNC). Project site is located 3 hours northeast of Reno at the southern end of the McDermitt Caldera in Humboldt County, NV, and 25 miles from the Nevada-Oregon border (or 1 hour northwest of Winnemucca, NV). The Project will be developed as an open-pit mining operation using conventional, continuous mining equipment. Given the soft, clay nature of the deposit, minimal blasting and crushing is anticipated. The ore will then be processed in a leaching circuit using sulfuric acid to liberate the lithium from the claystone. Following the leaching process, the lithium bearing solution will be purified using crystallizers and reagents to produce battery-quality Li2CO3. The Thacker Pass site has a flat and expansive terrain which allows for a very compact footprint and for future potential expansions. Bechtel will have responsibility for the full EPC/EPCM scope. Job Summary: In this role, you will perform administrative duties for the Turnover team that requires proficiency, accuracy, judgement, initiative, discretion, and knowledge of protocol. Your ability to anticipate problems and changing priorities will help bring efficiency and organization to your team. #LI-NP1 Major Responsibilities: • Maintains data bases of equipment and system installation and completion using Bechtel software which contain design and vendor requirements for the equipment/system, • Prepares periodic reports on the status of the document turnover to the Commissioning/Start Up team, • Handles routine and complicated items independently and anticipates problems and changing priorities, • Duties require accuracy, judgment, a moderate degree of initiative, discretion, diplomacy, and knowledge of protocol, • Anticipates changing priorities and problems, alerting the team as required, • Will be required to send documents to the project’s document management system • Assists in coordinating internal and/or external meetings, maintaining calendar for team members using Outlook or other calendar software, as appropriate • Assigns document numbers and enters Bechtel electronic document management system Education and Experience Requirements: University Hire with less than 1 year of experience or 4-5 years of relevant work experience Required Knowledge and Skills: • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: The ability to learn new software. • Organization and Time Management: The ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage complex schedules, and meet deadlines efficiently. • Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with team members and other areas. • Attention to Detail: precision in data entry, document preparation, and record-keeping to ensure zero errors. • Proactivity and Problem-Solving: A self-starter mindset to anticipate needs and find practical solutions to daily challenges.
