About the role Join Aurelia Metals as an Underground Miner – Level 1 (Nipper) and play a vital role in supporting safe and efficient underground mining operations. We're looking for an experienced Nipper who takes pride in their work, values teamwork, and is committed to maintaining high safety standards. To be considered for this role you must already have experience as a drillers offsider/Nipper and must also have your own accommodation in Cobar as we do not offer food and accommodation for this role. Roster: 7/7, 12 hour shifts (Rotating Day/Night) Location: Peak Mine, Cobar NSW Travel options Residents enjoy a balanced roster and the opportunity to settle into the family-friendly township of Cobar. Key responsibilities Ensure mining teams have the supplies and equipment needed for efficient workflow Assist underground Operators and Service Crew as required Keep work areas clean, tidy, and organised to maintain a safe environment Qualifications and experience Previous experience as a Nipper in an underground hard rock mining environment Current and unrestricted C Class Driver's Licence Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and maintaining high workplace standards Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding underground environment and follow operational procedures Desired tickets: Underground Hard Rock (UHL) Induction, Dangerous Goods Card, Working at Heights, and Confined Space Entry MAKE AN IMPACT, GET RECOGNISED – BE AN AURELIAN At Aurelia Metals, our people are at the heart of everything we do.
