Job Summary
Overall Purpose:
The Senior Manager is responsible for directing the User Experience team to deliver user centred, high-quality solutions that meet both customer and business needs. This role is to manage and execute UX projects while ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining alignment with the organisation’s goals. The role also includes elements of mentoring and supporting team members to ensure a culture of innovation and collaboration within the team. Additionally, the Senior Manager oversees user research and usability testing to inform evidence-based design decisions. The role collaborates closely with stakeholders across the organisation, driving alignment between UX initiatives and business objectives. It also includes planning and execution oversight, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
The job holder will be responsible for:
▪ Managing UX projects, including resource planning, task allocation, and timeline management, ensuring adherence to quality and organisational standards. This involves defining project scope, assigning roles and responsibilities, and monitoring progress to deliver high-quality outcomes.
▪ Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, such as product managers, product owners, developers, marketing teams, and business analysts, to align UX initiatives with business goals and ensure seamless integration of user-centred design into product development.
▪ Overseeing user research, usability testing, and data analysis to gather actionable insights and ensure informed design decisions.
▪ Reporting insights and updates on key projects to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with business objectives.
▪ Planning and executing departmental project strategies, ensuring successful delivery within timelines and budgets.
▪ Developing, implementing, and maintaining departmental operational guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline UX processes and ensure consistency across projects.
▪ Ensuring scalability of UX efforts by building tools, templates, and processes to optimise team efficiency and support long-term growth.
▪ Managing departmental resource planning and allocation, including budgeting, staffing, and tooling, to ensure the team is equipped to meet project demands effectively.
▪ Mentoring and guiding team members to foster growth, skill development, and innovation, while promoting a culture of collaboration and excellence.
▪ Conducting performance reviews and providing feedback to team members, encouraging a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
▪ Advocating for user-centred design principles and maintaining awareness of UX trends and best practices, integrating them into team workflows to drive innovation and user satisfaction.
In addition to the specific functions, management may assign more duties as required for the job from time to time.
Knowledge:
• Microsoft Office and Data Analysis and Reporting Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau, Power BI) - Advanced
• Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology - Advanced
• UX research/testing methodologies - Advanced

Required Criteria:
Previous proven work experience of six (6) years in User Experience and/or related areas, two (2) years of which managing a team, project or initiative, and an MQF Level 6 Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in UX, Marketing, Business Management or a related field.
OR
Previous proven work experience of eight (8) years in User Experience and/or related areas, two (2) years of which managing a team, project or initiative.
OR
Previous proven work experience of three (3) years in User Experience and/or related areas, two (2) years of which managing a team, project or initiative and an MQF Level 7 Master's Degree or equivalent in UX, Marketing, Business Management or a related field.
Desirable Criteria:
An industry relevant certification, relating to UX Design and Governance, Agile/ Lean 6 Sigma or similar fields.
Previous proven direct exposure to Agile teams, and/or work experience managing UX research, usability testing, and data-driven design strategies.

Applicants are required to satisfy the Bank’s minimum eligibility criteria of four (4) O’Levels at Grade 5/C or higher, including English Language, in addition to any role‑specific requirements outlined above. This requirement shall not apply where applicants are already in possession of an MQF Level 6 Degree or higher.
