The Department of Neurology at Duke University School of Medicine is seeking an additional Fellowship-trained & Board-Certified Vascular Neurologist to join its expanding Stroke and Vascular Neurology Division. Those with at least 2 years’ clinical experience and/or defined research interest are preferred. Individuals at various academic ranks are welcome to apply Eleven primary stroke faculty, ten secondary stroke faculty, and six stroke Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) practitioners Vibrant research environment with 25+M NIH research funding and 3+M American Heart Association research funding in the last years Active clinical practice at 957-bed Duke University Hospital with 6 stroke subspeciality outpatient clinics JCAHO-certified Comprehensive Stroke Center One of 15 Centers of Excellence in Cavernous Malformation Multidisciplinary eye stroke program, both inpatient and outpatient One of 25 Regional Coordinator Centers for the NINDS Stroke Trial Network One of Six Sites for Stroke Preclinical Assessment Network (SPAN) Growing tele stroke network with 10 sites in North Carolina and Virginia Excellent opportunity to develop & advance an education, clinical, & research career Stroke program has 2 ACGME vascular neurology fellowship slots per year and 1 advanced stroke research fellowship slot per year Duke University Hospital and Duke University School of Medicine are consistently ranked near the top in the nation by US News and World Report.
