The Vice President, General Manager (VPGM) , will lead and manage the business unit, overseeing sales, distribution, logistics, finance, customer service and marketing functions for multiple products and diverse customers. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong background in global manufacturing with a proven record of driving growth, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. This leader will plan, direct and control activities of the Business Unit, or Region, to accomplish financial objectives including overall ownership of the P&L. The VPGM will develop and execute go-to-market strategies that differentiate the business in the marketplace and expand customer base while retaining & growing existing customer relationships. This leader will maintain integral working relationships with various enterprise cross-matrix teams to include human resources, research and development, product planning, product management, information technology, quality, marketing, and finance in support of business objectives. They will work closely and collaboratively with other teams to ensure that strategic planning, key initiatives, and objectives within the business align with those of the Division and organization. This position will be located in Canada. This position is based in Canada. Candidates must be willing to relocate to Canada if they are not already local, as relocation is a requirement of the role. Craft and execute forward-thinking business unit strategies that align with the division and company’s long-term vision and short-term objectives. Identify and leverage emerging market trends and technologies to drive competitive advantage. Lead all business teams ensuring execution of functional strategies. Develop and lead the implementation of sales, marketing, and customer engagement plans and activities, in alignment with division strategies, to attain profitable market share growth, enhance brand presence and increase customer engagement. Cultivate strategic partnerships and alliances to expand market reach. Utilize analytics and data-based decision making to identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth. Ensure robust financial governance and compliance with industry standards. Ensure adherence to Rheem values and ethics by all employees with customers, suppliers, partners, and regulatory/official bodies. Ensure all activities meet and correspond with segment and corporate requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal, environmental policies, regulatory and compliance. Lead and execute the talent and development strategies for all employees within the business. Develop and implement effective communication plans to ensure proper communications of company direction, objectives, and performance across the business. Review organization and staffing plans to ensure that they are consistent and adequate for attainment of business objectives. Develop and maintain desirable relationships with professional, industry and community associations to perpetuate acceptance and goodwill towards the business. Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and creativity where Rheem values and leadership competencies form the basis for how strategies and objectives are achieved. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, technical or related field Minimum 15 years’ experience in a leadership role within a global company Proven track record in customer relations, operational excellence, driving business growth and profitability. Excellent leadership results and experience in strategic business planning at a significant business unit level Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards. Proficiency in relevant software and technology tools. French language skills would be an asset. Strong organizational, problem solving, negotiation, financial and resource management skills.
