Our Asenovgrad facility in Bulgaria is part of the Winter sports Operations organization and is a dynamic cross-country ski manufacturing center and manufacturing hub to supply some key components to our alpine ski factories. This plant born few years ago is in Asenovgrad is well implanted close to Plovdiv (one of the oldest European city and second largest city in Bulgaria) and near Rhodope Mountains where you can find Pamporovo ski resort. We are seeking a talented young engineer to join our Quality Department as VIE Plant Quality Deputy. You will work directly under the Plant Quality Manager, serving as her primary deputy and technical partner. You will be intimately involved in every aspect of quality system management, from current production optimization to future project enablement. Your success will be measured by one clear metric: making our current and future productions more robust and our processes more capable. ___________________ As Deputy Plant Quality Manager, you will work on process robustness and quality excellence across the facility. You will: Transform quality data into actionable insights for continuous process improvement : Lead SPC program implementation and optimization – define parameters, set up controls, and use data to drive process decisions Conduct process capability studies and establish improvement roadmaps for low-capability processes Identify and prioritize process vulnerabilities using data-driven tools (FMEA, design of experiments, regression analysis) Support factory-wide projects to reduce variation and improve yield Lead root cause analysis for significant deviations and quality escapes Participate in new product introduction (NPI) and new process qualification projects Ensure robustness of the Quality Management System : Develop, maintain, and improve quality procedures, work instructions, and control plans Manage compliance to our system and prepare for internal and external audits Define and execute calibration routines aligned with production criticality Conduct Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and ensure gage R&R meets production requirements Partner with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure quality is embedded from design through delivery ___________________ What we offer: A strategic role where your work directly impacts factory performance and competitiveness Mentorship from the Plant Quality Manager and exposure to a global network (local teams as international contacts with Austria plant or Brand quality). Enter a super dynamic outdoor products company Education: Master's Degree or Engineering Degree (Bac+5 equivalent) in: Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or Manufacturing Engineering Recent graduate or candidate with meaningful professional experience in an industrial, quality, or manufacturing environment (internships, apprenticeships, capstone projects) Technical Skills: Solid understanding of quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949 exposure is valuable) Knowledge of quality and problem-solving tools: 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, FMEA, basic statistics (SPC, MSA) Comfortable with data analysis and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word at intermediate level) Understanding of manufacturing processes – like pressing, grinding, silk printing….could be a plus. (Volontariat International en Entreprise, an international corporate volunteering scheme run by Business France). The V.I.E. meets strict criteria set by Business France: Age: be between 18 and 28 years old (up to the day before your 29th birthday) at the start date. Nationality: be a national of a country in the European Economic Area. Be compliant with the national service obligations of your country (for French applicants: census registration and the Defence and Citizenship Day). Meet the medical fitness and criminal record conditions required by the programme. Start date: October/November 2026 Duration: 18/24 months Onboarding: an onboarding period at Salomon's headquarters in Annecy is planned before departure Allowance and social protection: As a volunteer, you receive a monthly allowance set by Business France, exempt from income tax. It includes a fixed part, identical for all destinations, and a geographic part that varies according to the country of assignment.
