Everything You Need To Know

Hunter New England Health is looking for a reliable and organised Ward Clerk to join the 3A Ward team at Maitland Hospital. In this important role, you'll provide essential administrative support to our Surgical and Orthopaedic patients while helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the ward.

Working Monday to Friday with no weekend shifts, you'll enjoy a great work-life balance while building valuable experience in a busy and rewarding healthcare environment. As one of the first points of contact for patients, families, and clinical staff, you'll play a key role in delivering professional, accurate, and timely administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Register patients accurately and maintain up-to-date patient records.
  • Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Provide professional, patient-centred customer service to patients, families, and visitors.
  • Deliver efficient administrative support to nursing and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Assist with the day-to-day coordination of ward administration to support quality patient care.
