Warehouse Manager – Manufacturing Location: Janesville, WI Compensation: $70,000–$80,000 annually + bonus Employment Type: Direct Hire | Full-Time | Onsite Benefits: Full Benefits Relocation Assistance: Available Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead warehouse operations for an established manufacturing operation in the Janesville, Wisconsin area. The Warehouse Manager will supervise a team of approximately 10 warehouse employees and be responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient receiving, storage, movement, and shipping of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods. This position requires a hands-on, self-starting manager who can lead employees, maintain inventory accuracy, monitor warehouse performance, and continuously improve warehouse processes while supporting the needs of a manufacturing operation. Candidates must have warehouse experience within a manufacturing environment. Distribution-only warehouse experience will not be considered. Candidates must also have at least 2 years of actual warehouse supervisory or management experience with responsibility for employees. Team Lead or Lead experience alone does not meet this requirement. Key Responsibilities Supervise approximately 10 warehouse employees and provide day-to-day direction and accountability. Oversee receiving, storage, material movement, inventory control, and finished-goods shipping. Control and direct the movement of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods throughout warehouse and manufacturing operations. Develop, maintain, and continuously improve warehouse and supply chain strategies, performance goals, and operating methods. Monitor and evaluate weekly warehouse KPIs and take corrective action when performance objectives are not achieved. Maintain accountability for controlled inventory and finished-goods shipping activities. Ensure inventory accuracy and timely processing of inbound and outbound transactions. Conduct and oversee physical cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, determine root causes of inventory inaccuracies, and implement corrective actions. Partner with Quality Assurance and other departments to resolve quality, inventory, packaging, and shipping issues. Ensure warehouse and shipping operations comply with applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Oversee warehouse equipment requirements and maintenance programs, including large and small forklifts, cranes, and other material-handling equipment. Support capital expenditure proposals and warehouse operating budgets. Oversee the safe operation of specialty material-handling equipment when required. Meet established shipping-volume objectives and promptly address exceptions. Ensure products received and shipped meet established quality, packaging, and completeness standards. Serve as the go-to resource for the warehouse management system (WMS), shipping processes, and supporting computer programs. Perform and oversee daily system validations to maintain accurate warehouse and inventory information. Identify opportunities to improve safety, inventory accuracy, productivity, cost, and overall warehouse performance. Required Qualifications 2+ years of warehouse supervisory or management experience with direct responsibility for warehouse employees. Warehouse operations experience within a manufacturing environment. Experience with receiving, storage, inventory control, material movement, and shipping. Experience supporting raw materials, work-in-process, and/or finished goods within a manufacturing operation. Working knowledge of a Warehouse Management System (WMS) . Experience with inventory accuracy, physical cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation. Experience monitoring warehouse KPIs and operational performance. Strong leadership and communication skills. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and material-handling equipment. Ability to work full-time onsite in the Janesville, Wisconsin area. Distribution-only warehouse experience will not meet the manufacturing requirement. Team Lead or Lead experience without actual supervisory or management responsibility will not meet the leadership requirement. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing warehouse operations for a large manufacturing facility. Experience with ERP/WMS systems; SAP experience is a plus. Experience with forklifts, cranes, and other industrial material-handling equipment. Experience with continuous improvement, root-cause analysis, and process improvement. Relevant college, technical, supply chain, logistics, or business education is preferred; relevant work experience is paramount. Compensation & Benefits $70,000–$80,000 annual base salary.
