Minimum Experience 0 Summary The Federal Reserve Board (Board) provides students opportunities for career success. The Board’s Internship program is designed to provide valuable work experience for graduate students considering careers including, but not limited to, economics, finance and accounting, information systems, and data analysis. The Board believes that by combining academic endeavors with project-related work experience, qualified and capable college students can gain the practical knowledge need in a competitive global job market. Internships are paid positions with salaries commensurate with credit hours; internships may be in-person, remote or hybrid, depending on the needs of the team. Employment in the Board’s internship program is granted to U.S. citizens. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a graduate degree program at an accredited university and returning to continue studies after the internship. Interns receive a syllabus or research project plan outlining their projects and goals for the internship. Interns are assigned a supervisor or mentor to guide them through their internship, and regular check-in meetings with their manager to manage performance expectations and assist with learning goals. Interns have access to a wide range of training programs and events for professional development purposes. The stress tests evaluate the resilience of large banks by estimating their losses, revenues, expenses and resulting capital levels - which provide a cushion against losses - under hypothetical recession scenarios into the future. The Stress Testing Operations area includes both Program Management and Technology teams. Together, these teams are responsible for managing the nexus between the Program’s staff, the full scope of assigned work, and accessibility of necessary technology and data. Members of both teams manage cross-functional projects and high-priority initiatives and oversee day-to-day activities to ensure that the Program can meet critical milestones and achieve strategic objectives. What You Will Do: Support two Board Operations managers in coordinating deliverables related to strategic priorities and supporting ad-hoc projects, such as: • Manage meetings, including scheduling, planning agendas, tracking deliverables and decisions, and following up on action items; • Facilitate official communications with FRS internal and external recipients via associated central mailboxes; • Provide support to Program leaders and cross-functional teams; • Organize on-site events for System and public participants; • Support and troubleshoot technology infrastructure, e.g. SharePoint sites. • Contribute to first-mover efforts within broader cloud-migration efforts Preferred Qualifications: • Attention to detail • Proactive problem-solving • Ability to balance multiple priorities and tight deadlines • Discretion and strong judgement • Collaborative mindset • SharePoint administration or development experience is a plus. Position Details: • 1-year, full-time (if full-time is not possible, minimum 30 hours per week) • On-site commitment required Notes: Anticipated Start Date: Fall 2026 Interested candidates should submit a resume and cover letter. US Citizenship is required for all Board internships and applicants must be current students, graduating from their program August 2027 or later.
