As Union Pacific’s logistics arm, Loup offers a unique opportunity to work alongside industry leaders and contribute to initiatives that enhance operational performance, drive innovation, and improve customer satisfaction. Interns will build foundational knowledge across Loup’s core business units, learning how we deliver value through transload, intermodal, and strategic services. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, engage with senior leaders, and apply your analytical and communication skills to high-impact projects that shape the future of logistics. This opportunity requires in-person work in Omaha, NE during the summer months (mid-May through early August). Union Pacific provides relocation stipends and housing accommodation for students living more than 75 miles from Omaha. During the academic year, interns are expected to work 15–25 hours per week, with full-time availability during the summer. The estimated wage for this position is between $21.00 -$25.00 per hour. Final rate of pay will be based on several factors including year of study, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. Accountabilities Support Core Business Operations - Learn and assist with essential department tasks, including customer outreach, shipment tracking, and sales enablement. Help drive performance across Loup’s intermodal and transload services Drive Operational Excellence - Support initiatives that improve logistics workflows, shipment visibility, and equipment utilization.
