Young Ambassador, Security Studies Program Carnegie India Carnegie India's Young Ambassador s Program (CIYAP) is a one-year program for young individuals to understand research-based policymaking. Based in New Delhi, Carnegie India is seeking to recruit a Young Ambassador for its Security Studies Program. The program for the selected candidate will run from September 202 6 to September 202 7 . The program gives an early opportunity to individuals who want to understand the complexities of the changing world order, learn crucial public policy skills, participate in the programming elements of a global think tank, and channel their interest in a particular area.  CIYAP has been curated specifically for future leaders to:  Observe, engage, and understand research-driven policymaking from a team of Indian and global experts who work on key regional, national, and global issues through a multidisciplinary lens. Learn from and contribute to a diverse community of young leaders within the cohort in New Delhi and the larger Carnegie network in Washington D.C., Brussels, Beirut, Berlin , and Singapore. Imbibe and nurture professional skills, such as leadership, analytical acumen, critical thinking, and report writing, amongst others. Be part of cutting-edge policy projects at Carnegie India while building on and fine tuning one's own research interest in these areas. Be mentored by and assist Carnegie India scholars working on a range of public policy issues and build networks both within Carnegie as well as leaders in the industry. Support verticals at Carnegie India, including program, development, and communication teams . Assist with the organization of the Global Technology Summit (GTS) , Carnegie India's flagship annual event , the GTS Innovation Dialogue, the Security Studies Dialogue, Security Studies seminars, political economy seminars , and other associated events. The candidate should be able to conduct research on a variety of issues : India's defense and foreign policies with a special emphasis on India's relationship with China, developments along India's borders with Pakistan a nd China , India's military modernization and transformation, India's evolving strategic partnerships, and related research. The candidate may be assigned administrative, editorial, research, writing, or organizational tasks to provide overall support to Carnegie India's programmatic research . The ambassador will also assist scholars on ongoing projects, background research, and events. Eligibility Criteria : Applicant should be a recent graduate in any discipline with an interest in at least one of the following areas of research: defense or security studies, international relations , foreign policy , strategic studies, or related fields. This is an in-person program, and the successful candidate is expected to work full-time at the New Delhi office.  Note: Preference will be given to applicants from beyond metropolitan cities. Carnegie India wishes to open the public policy domain beyond major metropolitan cities in India. The selected applicant will be paid a fixed monthly stipend, along with a one-time relocation amount. The most deserving applicants will be chosen, without regard to caste, race, color , religion, sex, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected group.
