The Role: We are currently looking to contract with 1099 therapists licensed in the state of NY who would provide high-quality therapy and support to pediatric and adolescent populations. Pediatric & adolescent therapy is part of a broad range of TimelyCare's digital health services - expanding on the current higher-ed offerings and now working with K-12 schools directly. As a 1099 Child & Adolescent Therapist with TimelyCare, you will focus on supporting children and adolescents, ages 5-17, working closely with families when appropriate, to ensure comprehensive, developmentally appropriate care. Requirements for Contracted Services: Required: Active, independent licensure as one of the following: - Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC, LCPC, LMHC) - Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) - Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D., LP/LCP) - Associate therapists are not applicable for this position at this time. Active State License(s) in NY Preferred: Experience or certification in evidence-based pediatric and adolescent treatment modalities (e.g., TF-CBT, Play Therapy, trauma-informed care). Strong clinical documentation, assessment, diagnosis, and active listening skills Experience working with children, adolescents, and their families, especially within telehealth, school-based services, outpatient mental health, or community mental health settings. Experience with crisis intervention/de-escalation and safety/treatment planning Familiarity with developmentally appropriate interventions and family systems approaches. What Our Contracted Therapists Do: Provide evidence-based therapy, case conceptualization, diagnosis and treatment planning to children and adolescents. Conduct assessments and develop care plans tailored to the developmental and emotional needs of younger populations, in line with patient goals for treatment. Submit HIPAA-compliant documentation using TimelyCare's electronic health record. Collaborate with a child’s parents, guardians, and educational professionals when necessary to coordinate care and ensure holistic support. Use evidence-based interventions (CBT, PCITTF-CBT, DBT, MI) appropriate for children and adolescents. Identify safety concerns, complete safety planning, and provide crisis intervention when necessary. Develop and maintain treatment goals in collaboration with the child, family, and relevant parties. Adhere to established standards for documentation quality and ethical practice guidelines. Expectations for Contracted Services: Work with the student/client/family to establish and develop goals and individualized treatment plans and document accordingly Utilize active listening skills and evidence based modalities (SFBT, CBT, DBT, MI, ACT) in order to build rapport, establish boundaries, and progress student/client care Submit appropriate HIPAA compliant documentation in the EHR (the TimelyCare platform) in a punctual manner Prepared to adapt to the changing needs of the population we serve Able to remain calm and maintain composure during a potential high stress scenario Respond with empathy, professionalism, and meet clients where they are at Model respectful conduct with all students, families, clients, peers, and support staff Highlights of Contracted Services: Timely: Expected session time is 45–50 minutes, with the time remaining for documentation (60 minutes total) Bye, bye, burnout: Provide remote care from the convenience of your home or professional office space while maintaining a healthy work/life balance. Therapist autonomy: Flexible hours that work for you. Independent, contracted therapists can set their own schedule for any time Monday - Sunday. Professional boundaries: Clients will not have access to your phone number or email. Compensation & Benefits: The compensation range for this opportunity is $85 - $95 per session, depending on education, experience, and licenses. The higher end of this range is reserved for doctoral level candidates. All pay is subject to experience and licensure.
