#127110 - Senior Workday Financials Consultant

We are seeking a senior-level Workday Financials Consultant to support ongoing operations, configuration, enhancements, and strategic initiatives within an enterprise Workday environment. This role requires a deeply experienced, hands-on Workday Financials consultant who can independently own complex configuration across multiple Financials domains. Financial Accounting is the highest-priority functional area, and candidates should bring deep, sustained configuration experience rather than broad exposure alone. The consultant will support both production operations and project-based work while partnering directly with Finance, Accounting, and other business stakeholders. The ideal candidate can troubleshoot complex production issues, identify root causes, design scalable solutions, test configuration changes, and successfully move those changes through deployment. Key Responsibilities * Provide hands-on configuration and functional support across multiple Workday Financials domains, with particular depth in Financial Accounting. * Independently own complex Workday Financials configurations from requirements and solution design through testing, deployment, and production validation. * Support production issues, investigate defects, determine root causes, and deliver timely and sustainable resolutions. * Perform ongoing configuration, enhancements, optimization, and process-improvement work. * Translate Finance and Accounting business requirements into effective and scalable Workday solutions. * Evaluate downstream impacts and dependencies before implementing configuration changes. * Design solutions that support long-term platform health rather than temporary fixes. * Shift across functional areas based on changing business priorities and workload. * Partner directly with Finance, Accounting, and cross-functional business stakeholders. * Support both urgent production needs and longer-term strategic initiatives. * Help reduce operational backlog and improve responsiveness to Finance stakeholders. * Integrate quickly into an experienced, high-performing Workday team. Must-Have Skills * 8-10 years of hands-on Workday Financials experience. * Deep, hands-on Workday Financial Accounting configuration expertise. * Demonstrated personal ownership of complex Financial Accounting configurations rather than high-level functional exposure alone. * Strong understanding of end-to-end financial processes within Workday. * Hands-on experience with Workday Expenses. * Hands-on experience with Workday Business Assets. * Working experience with Workday Banking and Settlement. * Proven expertise across multiple Workday Financials domains. * Experience supporting both production operations and project-based configuration work. * Experience troubleshooting Workday Financials production defects and performing root-cause analysis. * Experience taking configuration changes through solution design, testing, deployment, and production validation. * Ability to explain specific configurations personally owned, including the business or production issue, root cause, configuration changes, testing approach, deployment, and resulting resolution. * Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment. * Strong problem-solving and systems-thinking capabilities. * Ability to translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions. * Experience delivering clean, sustainable solutions rather than temporary fixes. * Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with Finance and Accounting stakeholders. Nice-to-Have Skills * Experience with Workday Accounting Center. * Experience with Workday Prism. * Familiarity with Workday integrations. * Familiarity with Workday reporting. * Exposure to Workday Orchestrations or other automation frameworks. * Experience working within a lean team with broad functional ownership. * Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives. * A track record of longer-term Workday engagements where you developed sustained ownership of Financials configuration and production support. * Experience owning complex Workday Financials functionality over an extended period rather than primarily working across short-term implementations. * Familiarity with Workday Procurement, although Procurement is a lower-priority area. * Familiarity with VNDLY, although VNDLY is not required. * Enterprise experience strongly preferred. Required Tools & Platforms - Workday Financials - Workday Financial Accounting - Workday Expenses - Workday Business Assets - Workday Banking and Settlement Location, Time & Engagement - Remote contract open to candidates located in LATAM only. - Candidate eligibility is limited to approved LATAM sourcing countries. - Candidates must be available to work during CST/EST-aligned U.S. business hours. - Full-time engagement at approximately 40 hours per week. - Expected start is as soon as possible. - Contract is expected to continue through March 31, 2027.
