As an Associate Software Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative, international environment while working alongside experienced technology professionals. This internship is designed for sophomore students who are developing their technical foundation and are eager to apply their academic knowledge to real-world software engineering challenges.

This is a highly selective opportunity with only nine positions available for the 2027 internship cohort.

What You'll Do


As an Associate Software Engineer Intern, you may contribute to:
  • Support the development, testing, and enhancement of software applications and internal technology solutions.
  • Write, review, and troubleshoot code under the guidance of experienced software engineers.
  • Apply software engineering principles to real-world business and technology challenges.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, testing, and debugging activities.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, technology professionals, business stakeholders, and international team members.
  • Translate technical requirements into practical software solutions.
  • Assist with identifying and resolving application issues and defects.
  • Document technical solutions, development activities, and processes.
  • Participate in Agile or collaborative development practices.
  • Learn and apply new technologies, programming languages, frameworks, and development tools.
  • Contribute ideas that improve the efficiency, quality, and scalability of technology solutions.


Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program and classified as a Sophomore for the 2026–2027 academic year.
  • Expected graduation date of December 2028 or August 2029.
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
  • Coursework, academic projects, personal projects, or prior experience demonstrating an interest in software engineering.
  • Experience with at least one of the following:
    • Java
    • C/C++
    • .NET
    • Python
    • JavaScript
    • HTML
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members from different countries, cultures, and professional backgrounds.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing priorities.


Preferred Qualifications

Candidates may stand out with experience in:
  • Software development projects, internships, or co-op programs.
  • Object-oriented programming and software engineering fundamentals.
  • Git or other version-control systems.
  • Web application development.
  • Database concepts and SQL.
  • APIs and application integrations.
  • Cloud technologies or modern development platforms.
  • Automated testing and debugging.
  • Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Technical documentation.

Compensation

The base pay range for this role is $40 – $50 per hour.
