Actuarial internship duties may include:
Our Actuarial interns gain hands-on experience while completing meaningful projects for OneAmerica Financial. In addition to building a professional foundation, our Actuarial Interns have the opportunity to network with peers and leaders across the enterprise, making connections within the community and develop relationships with lasting impact. What you will do:
- Complete pricing, product development and valuation tasks
- Assist with financial reporting, financial projections and experience analysis
- Complete asset/liability management and industry-related research
- Observe and learn about business lines: Individual, Employee Benefits, or Retirement Services
- Look for improvements in methods and make recommendations
- Increase technical competence and interpersonal skills, while building good working relationships
Intern Program Detail:
- 11-week paid summer internship
- 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday
- All work is expected to be hybrid in Indianapolis, IN
- Housing stipends are available for eligible candidates
What you will need:
- Minimum of one year of college coursework completed toward a four-year college degree
- Preferred areas of study include Actuarial Science and Mathematics
- GPA should be 3.2 or higher
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong math and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with Access is a plus
- Successful completion of one or more SOA Exam preferred
This selected candidate will be expected to work hybrid in Indianapolis, IN. The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in Indianapolis as business needs dictate or for team building and collaboration.
