This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.

This position will work within our Corporate Accounting group, specifically focused on Systems Accounting. Areas of focus will be:
Financial Accounting• Understanding of GAAP fundamentals• Ability to analyze financial statements• Familiarity with journal entries and account reconciliations• Understanding of accrual accounting concepts
Controls & Risk Mindset• Basic understanding of internal controls• Awareness of SOX and regulatory compliance concepts• Ability to identify potential control breakdowns• Appreciation for audit evidence and documentation standards
Financial Analysis• Analyze trends and variances• Interpret key financial metrics• Develop concise management summaries• Communicate findings clearly to business leaders
Advanced Excel
- Build complex formulas
- Use XLOOKUP and INDEX/MATCH

Data Analytics

Duties & Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Be part of a dynamic team with interesting projects.
- Accountabilities can and may include areas such as research, analytics, projects, strategy, process review and improvement, as well as technology enhancements and support.
- Attend professional development sessions, informational sessions, networking and community service events.
- Have a dedicated manager and program manager to help you navigate the bank and the internship program.
- Be assigned a project, designed to improve a specific process or solve a problem that you will present at the close of the internship.
- Prepare a wrap-up presentation to be shared with the division leader and other key stakeholders in the company to outline your accomplishments and experience during the internship

Required qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience
- Currently enrolled at an accredited collegiate institution (during the time of the summer program)
- Ability to work 40 hours per week during the duration of the program
Preferred qualifications
- Current Junior/rising Senior
- Pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Management Information Systems (within a business program)
- Experience with Advanced Excel, SQL, Data Analytics
- Proficient in AI & digital skills
- Foundational understanding of generative AI, including appropriate use cases, limitations, data privacy requirements, and responsible AI governance.
- Ability to effectively utilize AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) by developing clear prompts and refining outputs to support business analysis and decision-making.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills to validate AI-generated content, identify unsupported conclusions, and verify results against underlying data sources.
- Ability to apply sound business and accounting judgment when leveraging AI tools, ensuring outputs are accurate, reliable, and suitable for professional use
- 3.0 minimum GPA
