Position Summary:

The Operations Division supports a wide variety of functions covering both the Capital Markets and Banking business lines. Interns will gain first-hand experience working within one assigned team during the internship, while having the opportunity to interact with keys members across the platform to gain an understanding of how the Operations Division plays an important role in the success of Mizuho’s business lines.

Essential Job Duties:

Interns may be assigned to one of the following groups based upon need and availability of work at the start of the internship:

· Client Management: Client Onboarding, Referential Data, Know Your Customer verifications.

· Collateral Operations: Margin Call Processing, Counterparty Risk, Portfolio Reconciliations

· Derivatives Operations: Middle Office Support, Settlements, Regulatory Reporting, Confirmations

· Securities Settlements: Equity & Fixed Income coverage, Corporate Actions, Reconciliations, Custody Services

· Banking Operations: Loan Administration, Letters of Credit, Credit Facility Management, Trade Finance, Payment & Deposit Settlements, Reconciliations, Leasing

Qualifications:

· Expected Graduation Date of May 2028

· Preferred Majors: Business, Finance, Economics

· Minimum GPA requirement of 3.2

· High attention to detail

· Fast learner and team player

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Proficient in Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, macros)

· Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills; the ability to clearly articulate ideas

Salary: $35/ hr
