The project combines classic match-3 gameplay with rich meta-game content, including environments, characters, rewards, props, progression elements, and interactive locations. In this role, you will create game art from initial concepts and sketches to polished, production-ready assets, with a strong focus on clean shapes, expressive stylization, vibrant colors, and clear readability on mobile screens.
What we’re looking for:
Strong portfolio with relevant casual and/or mobile game art.
Solid understanding of shape, color, composition, lighting, and materials.
Ability to create bright, appealing visuals without unnecessary detail or visual noise.
Strong sense of stylization and ability to work with soft, expressive shapes.
Good understanding of readability and visual hierarchy on mobile screens.
Ability to work within an established art style and explore new visual directions.
Confident Photoshop skills or equivalent.
Experience preparing and cutting assets for Spine animation.
Ability to work with feedback and consistently bring artwork from concept to final quality.
Nice to have:
Experience working on match-3, merge, puzzle, or other casual mobile games.
Experience creating environments, characters, props, rewards, and meta-game content.
Experience using AI tools as part of an art production pipeline for concept exploration, variations, and production acceleration.
What the role is about:
Create high-quality 2D art for game environments and locations.
Design and render chests, rewards, props, decorative elements, and progression assets.
Create characters and their visual variations.
Produce assets for meta-game features and game screens.
Develop concepts and explore visual solutions based on references and art direction.
Take assets from initial sketch to polished, production-ready artwork.
Create variations of objects, materials, colors, and states.
Prepare and cut 2D characters and objects into separate parts for Spine animation.
Collaborate closely with the Art Director, UI/UX Designer, animators, and other artists.
Maintain consistent visual style and quality across the project.
Visual Direction
The project follows a bright, juicy, polished casual art style with clean shapes, appealing materials, expressive characters, and strong readability. The visual world should feel playful, colorful, inviting, and slightly exaggerated, while maintaining a clean and contemporary mobile-game look.
Please include a portfolio with your application. We are particularly interested in examples of casual game art, environments, props, characters, and meta-game assets.
