42 - Data Scientist (Time Series Forecasting)

Our client is looking for a Data Scientist to build time series forecasts for weather, market prices and grid supply and demand, then turn them into production code that feeds their trading platform. The ideal candidate has a strong quantitative background, proven forecasting experience and uses agentic coding tools every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Build time series forecasting models for weather, market prices and grid supply and demand
• Turn forecasting models into production code that feeds the trading platform
• Use agentic coding tools as part of your daily development workflow

Required Skills and Experience

• Degree in mathematics, econometrics, physics or engineering
• At least 3 years of experience
• Proven experience with time series forecasting
• Strong Python and SQL skills; Go is a plus
• Uses agentic coding tools every day
• Clear communicator with excellent English
• Nice to have: experience with energy markets, trading or weather data
