Senior Ab Initio Platform Administrator / AWS Architect

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Ab Initio Platform Administrator / AWS Architect to support a major enterprise data modernization initiative. This role will focus on migrating an established Ab Initio data platform to AWS while preparing the environment for a future transition to Databricks.

Requirements:

• Data Migration & Cloud Modernization
• The candidate should have strong experience in enterprise data engineering, legacy database modernization, and cloud migration, with expertise in the following areas:
• Sandbox and GRAES experience: Hands-on experience working with sandboxes and GRAES environments, including data processing, integration, and migration workflows.
• Enterprise Ab Initio experience: Strong experience with Ab Initio in large corporate environments, including legacy data processing, ETL development, and complex data integration.
• Data movement and integration: Proven experience moving data to and from legacy databases, enterprise platforms, and cloud environments.
• Strong Databricks expertise: Extensive hands-on experience with Databricks, including data engineering, ETL/ELT pipelines, data transformation, and cloud-based data processing.
• AWS cloud migration strategy: Proven ability to develop a comprehensive plan to move data, databases, and legacy applications from on-premises or legacy database environments to AWS.
• Migration planning and architecture: Experience assessing existing data environments, identifying dependencies, defining migration strategies, mapping legacy processes to cloud-native solutions, and developing phased migration roadmaps.
• Enterprise modernization: Ability to work with technical teams and business stakeholders to plan and execute complex data migration and modernization initiatives.

Work Arrangement

• Location: Fully remote within the United States
• Duration: Open-ended contract
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Central Time
• Travel: Minimal, approximately once per year
• Engagement Type: W-2 or C2C through an established LLC
