Requirements Job Overview The College of Arts & Sciences (CAS) Dean’s Office staff support the Dean of the College in carrying out this responsibility (as defined by Georgetown University Faculty Handbook) for the general effectiveness of the instructional programs of CAS, and in carrying out academic policies and regulations. The office collectively advises 3,500 undergraduates pursuing 51 different majors and 50+ minors in the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degree programs. The Academic Records Specialist , reporting to the Manager of Academic Records, is responsible for maintaining CAS students’ academic records. The position has comprehensive knowledge of the university’s student information system and processes all changes to academic records. The position also provides integral administrative support for transfer credit postings and special projects. Work Interactions The Academic Records Specialist reports to the Manager of Academic Records and assists a team of sixteen advising deans. The role works closely with one administrative assistant and several graduate student assistants and liaises frequently with the Office of the University Registrar and the Office of Global Education. The role also interacts directly with students and faculty. Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree One year of experience in an administrative role Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets Highly organized and detail-oriented Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to multitask and prioritize Desire to work in a collaborative environment Preferred Experience Experience working in an academic setting Experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft Access, and Banner (or another student information system) Work Mode Designation This position has been designated as Hybrid .
