Job Overview The Account Coordinator, Forestry is responsible for enhancing SCS Global Services client portfolio and overall client experience including maintaining a portfolio of Chain of Custody and Forest Management certification clients from a diversity of paper, packaging, and wood products sectors. Account Coordinators are proficient in understanding and communicating technical requirements for audits and engaging with clients to ensure they're meeting service needs, timelines, financial goals, and accreditation requirements. This position is responsible for meeting revenue and profitability goals, as well as supporting the team and clients by tracking projects throughout the certification process with strong attention to detail and professional communication skills, both internally and externally. Relevant Standards/Schemes American Tree Farm System FSC Chain of Custody FSC Forest Management (FSC-FM) PEFC Chain of Custody SFI CoC Certification SFI Forestry Management (SFI-FM) Sustainable Biomass Program (SBP) Certification Essential Duties and Responsibilities Client and Account Support Serve as the day-to-day contact for assigned accounts, responding promptly to client inquiries and requests Support the delivery of products or services by ensuring tasks, deadlines, and deliverables are completed accurately and on time Maintain up-to-date client records, contracts, and correspondence in databases or CRM systems Prepare client materials, such as proposals, reports, invoices, or status updates Follow up with internal teams to ensure client needs and project requirements are met Maintain professional and responsive communication with clients, internal staff, and vendors Coordinate information flow between client and internal departments Escalate client concerns to management when necessary, ensuring timely resolution Support invoicing, billing, and expense tracking for client accounts Project and Operational Coordination Coordinate internal resources to support account deliverables and deadlines Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, take notes, and track follow-up actions Monitor timelines and deliverable status for multiple projects under the same account Support the implementation of process improvements and ensure consistency across accounts Track and report progress to support senior staff or account managers Assist with data entry, reporting, and preparation of account summaries Ensure program compliance with SCS quality systems Minimum Qualifications Associate's Degree in Business Administration or a related field and 2+ years of professional experience in business administration and experience in project or program coordination, client interface, and data entry Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Ability to adapt to frequent timeline changes with complex, long-term projects Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management Strong customer service and teamwork orientation Complete fluency in English with work experience that involves professional, technical written communication Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Experience using database systems and remote applications for communication such as Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, etc. Initiative and ability to work independently, responsive and adaptive to team environment Commitment to SCS values and environmental issues Multi-lingual fluency in another language (Advanced proficiency) Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field Previous coordination experience with third-party certification Previous account or administrative coordination experience The above description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
