- Leads, manages, and develops the Account Management team, coaching, mentoring, team development, training, recruiting, resource utilization and issues management
- Approves time-off requests, timecards, and expense reports
- Conducts performance reviews; executes developmental plans and disciplinary actions
- Facilitates team member awareness and action through timely, accurate, and complete communication
- Ensures team has in depth knowledge of tactics involved with medical communications strategic planning, content development, and peer-to-peer activities
- Initiates and leads department process improvement to deliver exceptional services and products that add value to our clients’ objectives
- Create structure, experience, and roles within the team that ensures projects and department functions smoothly in absence of team members and/or department director
- Build collaborative relationships with cross functional team leadership to include regular touch base meetings to align on client needs, team performance, and direction
- Develops and executes department short- and long-term planning
- Promotes company idea generation and brainstorming for the development of service/product offerings
- Supports the response and management of brand-driven and company-driven RFP’s
- Collaborates with Chief Operating Officer to create revenue forecasts and growth initiatives
- Collaborates with leadership team in developing and executing policies, procedures, and standards

Education and/or Experience
College degree (advanced degree a plus) and a minimum of 15 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience in medical education, pharmaceutical marketing/advertising and/or healthcare marketing/advertising.
