About Octave
Octave is a global provider of mission-critical enterprise software, helping organisations design, build, operate and protect the assets and infrastructure that underpin modern industry.
Our unique Design, Build, Operate and Protect (DBOP) portfolio brings together capabilities across the asset lifecycle, helping customers improve operational performance, reliability, safety and resilience.
Our Enterprise Asset Management business is built on the heritage of Attune EAM (formerly HxGN EAM), one of the industry’s most established and widely recognised enterprise asset management platforms, with a long history of supporting complex, asset-intensive organisations.
Combining proven enterprise technology with modern SaaS capabilities, advanced analytics, AI-driven innovation and an extensive global customer and partner ecosystem, Octave is positioned to help organisations modernise the management of their most critical assets.
We’re investing in our UK enterprise business and looking for an exceptional Senior Account Executive to accelerate our growth.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for an accomplished enterprise software sales professional who knows how to develop strategic customer relationships, create new opportunities and close complex, high-value enterprise deals.
This is a senior, quota-carrying role offering a compelling balance of strategic account management and new business development.
Octave has an extensive portfolio of large, established enterprise customers across our target industries, providing a strong foundation for account growth, cross-selling and long-term strategic partnerships. Alongside this, you’ll be responsible for identifying and winning new enterprise customers, expanding our market presence and building new revenue streams.
You’ll work with some of the UK’s most sophisticated organisations, engaging senior business and technology stakeholders to solve complex operational challenges and deliver measurable business value.
We’re looking for someone who brings industry credibility, commercial ambition and the ability to operate as a trusted adviser to senior executives.
What You’ll Do
- Own enterprise revenue growth: Develop and execute a territory strategy that balances new customer acquisition with expansion of existing strategic accounts.
- Grow major enterprise relationships: Identify opportunities to extend Octave’s footprint across sites, business units, geographies and the wider DBOP portfolio.
- Win new business: Identify, develop and close opportunities through proactive prospecting, executive networking, industry engagement and strategic account planning.
- Lead complex enterprise sales: Manage multi-stakeholder sales cycles, technical evaluations, business cases, competitive positioning, negotiations and procurement.
- Engage senior decision-makers: Build relationships with CIOs, COOs, CTOs, Engineering Directors, Heads of Asset Management, Manufacturing Leaders and other executive stakeholders.
- Sell business outcomes: Connect Octave’s capabilities to improvements in reliability, availability, productivity, compliance, safety and efficiency.
- Bring industry insight: Understand operational challenges and develop propositions that resonate with business and technical leaders.
- Develop strategic account plans: Map stakeholders, build executive sponsorship and establish long-term growth strategies.
- Collaborate across Octave: Work with Presales, Consulting, Customer Success, Product Management and strategic partners.
- Execute with discipline: Apply structured sales methodologies, including Octave’s SPICED and 5D approaches, to qualification, value development, deal progression and forecasting.
- Shape our go-to-market strategy: Bring market intelligence, customer feedback and competitive insight into the wider business.
What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years of successful enterprise B2B software sales experience, with a demonstrable record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
- Experience developing and closing medium to large Annual Contract Value (ACV) enterprise software deals, including complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
- A proven track record combining new business development with strategic account management and customer expansion.
- Strong domain expertise and established customer relationships within at least one of our priority industries:
- Defence & Aerospace
- Transportation, Logistics & Infrastructure
- Discrete Manufacturing
- Process Manufacturing & Chemicals
- Life Sciences & Pharmaceuticals
- Energy & Utilities, including Power, Water and Renewables
- Oil & Gas and Natural Resources
- Experience selling complex enterprise applications, industrial software, operational technology or related digital transformation solutions.
- Ability to engage credibly with senior business, operational and technology stakeholders and translate requirements into commercially compelling solutions.
- Experience building territory plans, generating qualified pipeline and developing strategic enterprise opportunities.
- Strong commercial negotiation skills and experience navigating sophisticated procurement processes.
- A disciplined, consultative approach to enterprise sales, including value-based selling and structured qualification methodologies.
- Understanding of SaaS, subscription licensing and enterprise software commercial models.
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
You do not need experience across all our target industries. We value deep domain expertise, established relationships and a strong track record in one or more sectors, alongside the ambition to develop adjacent markets
Bonus Points
- Direct experience selling Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Asset Performance Management (APM), Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) software, CMMS or related maintenance and reliability solutions.
- Experience with platforms such as Attune EAM, IBM Maximo, SAP EAM, IFS, Ultimo, Infor or similar enterprise applications.
- Experience with enterprise and industrial software providers such as SAP, IBM, Siemens, Dassault Systèmes, AVEVA, IFS or comparable organisations.
- Knowledge of asset-intensive operations, maintenance strategy, reliability engineering, asset lifecycle management or industrial digital transformation.
- Experience selling into highly regulated or mission-critical environments, including defence, pharmaceutical manufacturing or critical transportation infrastructure.
- Knowledge of industrial automation, manufacturing execution systems, ERP, PLM or other enterprise operational platforms.
- Experience working with major systems integrators, consulting organisations and technology partners.
- Familiarity with SPICED or comparable structured enterprise sales methodologies.
- An established network of senior industry contacts and executive relationships within the UK market.
Why Join The Team?
A recognised leader in Enterprise Asset Management
You’ll represent Attune EAM (formerly HxGN EAM), one of the industry’s most established and recognised enterprise asset management platforms, backed by more than 30 years of innovation and proven deployment in complex, asset-intensive organisations.
Attune EAM’s heritage includes recognition as a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide AI-Enabled Asset-Intensive Enterprise Asset Management Applications 2025–2026, building on recognition as a Leader in the Verdantix Green Quadrant: Enterprise Asset Management Software 2024.
This combination of established market recognition, enterprise-grade functionality and continued investment in SaaS, AI and integration provides a compelling platform for growth.
A unique position across the entire asset lifecycle
Unlike software providers focused on a single part of the asset lifecycle, Octave brings together capabilities spanning Design, Build, Operate and Protect.
Our DBOP portfolio creates opportunities to engage customers strategically, connect engineering and operational information, improve asset lifecycle decisions and deliver value beyond traditional maintenance management.
For an enterprise sales professional, this creates opportunities to deepen customer relationships and expand into adjacent solutions.
Enterprise SaaS capability and proven delivery
Octave combines established enterprise software heritage with a proven track record in cloud and SaaS delivery.
Our solutions support the scale, complexity and operational demands of major enterprises, offering flexibility in deployment, integration and modernisation.
Attune EAM’s heritage includes recognition through the 2025 IDC SaaS Customer Satisfaction Award for Enterprise Asset Management, reflecting the strength of its cloud offering and customer experience.
AI innovation with real operational relevance
Octave is investing in the development and integration of artificial intelligence across its portfolio, bringing AI-driven assistance, analytics and intelligent workflows into asset-intensive operations.
Through capabilities including Octave Aria and the integration of AI into our enterprise platforms, we’re helping customers unlock value from operational data, improve workforce productivity and make better-informed decisions.
Established customers and genuine growth opportunity
You’ll join a business with significant, long-standing customer relationships across Defence, Transportation, Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Energy and other asset-intensive industries.
This established presence creates opportunities to develop major strategic accounts, while our portfolio and continued investment create substantial potential for new business growth.
The opportunity to shape our growth
We’re building an ambitious enterprise sales organisation and looking for experienced professionals who want to contribute more than simply delivering a number.
You’ll have the autonomy to develop your territory, build strategic relationships, influence our market approach and contribute directly to Octave’s continued success.
All in. Always forward.
