  • Role Summary

The CGT Treatment Center Account Director independently leads the expansion, onboarding, and growth of McKesson’s cell, gene, and advanced therapy treatment center network. This role applies deep CGT subject-matter expertise and strategic account management experience to build long-term provider relationships, influence senior customer stakeholders, resolve complex business issues, and drive measurable growth, customer satisfaction, and performance against key business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

· Approved/Authorized Treatment Center (ATC) Expansion

  • Independently identifies, evaluates, and pursues high-value ATC expansion opportunities by applying advanced knowledge of cell, gene, and advanced therapies, provider operations, and market dynamics.
  • Builds and influences relationships with senior customer stakeholders and serves as a key escalation point for complex negotiations, contracting barriers, and network expansion decisions.
  • Onboarding and Account Growth
  • Leads complex treatment center onboarding efforts across legal, finance, product, customer success, account setup, and other internal partners to ensure effective implementation and adoption.
  • Develops and executes strategic account plans that align customer objectives with McKesson capabilities, identify growth opportunities, and drive measurable expansion, retention, and customer value.
  • Relationship Management
  • Serves as the primary strategic relationship lead for CGT treatment center accounts, building trusted relationships across multiple stakeholder levels, including senior and executive customer contacts.
  • Anticipates evolving customer needs, advises on tailored solutions, and influences internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex issues and advance account objectives.
  • Collaboration & Communication
  • Provides cross-functional leadership by coordinating internal teams, including Customer Success Executives, sales, product, customer service, account setup, legal, and finance, to ensure alignment, clear communication, and effective execution.
  • Translates customer, operational, and market insights into actionable recommendations, and communicates key metrics, volume trends, growth opportunities, risks, and customer feedback to inform business decisions and improve customer outcomes.
  • Education & Training
  • Develops and delivers customer education, enablement strategies, and ongoing support to help treatment centers effectively utilize McKesson services, including product procurement, specialty pharmacy services, and technology solutions.
  • Advises customers on best practices and available resources to maximize adoption, value, and performance outcomes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirement

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • West coast regional territory

Critical Skills

  • Prior experience in CGT (Cell, Gene, and Advanced Therapies) environments or similar regulated, innovation-driven sectors.
  • Proven success in provider network expansion initiatives, particularly in launching or scaling treatment centers or similar healthcare delivery models.
  • Experience in strategic account management within healthcare, biotech, or life sciences—ideally involving complex, high-value partnerships.
  • Experience managing on-boarding of new customer accounts.
  • Hands-on experience resolving escalated customer issues and navigating complex negotiations with executive stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently in complex, ambiguous business environments, using advanced judgment to influence decisions, resolve escalations, and drive outcomes across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across legal, finance, product, and customer success to deliver large-scale onboarding and growth programs.
  • Track record of driving measurable growth and customer satisfaction through strategic planning and execution.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of the CGT provider ecosystem, treatment center operations, specialty distribution/service models, and cell, gene, and advanced therapies
  • Ability to influence senior customer and internal stakeholders without direct authority
  • Ability to translate customer, operational, and market insights into strategic account plans and business recommendations
  • Advanced project and program management skills across complex, cross-functional initiatives
  • Executive-level communication, consultative problem solving, and stakeholder influence
  • Strong judgment in resolving complex customer, operational, and contracting issues using data-driven decision-making

Working Conditions

  • Work Environment – This role is primarily performed in a professional office or remote work environment. The employee is expected to maintain a suitable workspace that supports productivity, confidentiality, effective communication, and reliable access to required technology and business systems.
  • Travel Requirements – This position requires regular business travel, up to approximately 50%, based on customer needs, business priorities, conferences, internal meetings, and treatment center engagement. Travel may include overnight stays and may vary by business cycle, customer location, and organizational needs.
  • Physical Requirements – This role is generally sedentary in nature and requires the ability to perform standard office-related activities, including sitting or standing for extended periods, using a computer and phone, participating in virtual and in-person meetings, and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders. The employee may occasionally be required to lift or move standard office materials. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
