Position Description

CGI is seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our Services to Credit Unions team in Canada. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the growth of CGI's business within the Canadian credit union ecosystem while building trusted, long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.

Working at the intersection of client engagement, business development, solution development, and business analysis, you will help identify client needs, uncover growth opportunities, and support the development of solutions that address evolving business and technology priorities. You will collaborate with clients and CGI teams across business development, delivery and solution areas to help move opportunities from initial discovery through proposal development and ongoing client relationship management.

This role is well suited to someone who combines a strong understanding of technology services and business requirements with a commercial mindset and a demonstrated ability to build trusted client relationships.

The position may be based in Vancouver or Victoria, British Columbia, and follows CGI's hybrid work model, with an expectation of working from a CGI office three days per week. Occasional travel within Canada may be required based on client and business needs.

Your future duties and responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing credit union clients, developing an understanding of their business priorities, technology needs, and evolving requirements while identifying opportunities for additional CGI products and services.
  • Identify, qualify and help develop new business opportunities within and beyond the existing client portfolio, supporting revenue growth and the achievement of sales objectives.
  • Support the sales lifecycle by preparing client meetings, presentations, proposals, RFI/RFP responses, product demonstrations, research, competitive and client analysis, and other business development materials.
  • Work with clients and internal stakeholders to identify and document business goals, business rules, use cases, system and software requirements, assumptions, constraints, issues, and risks.
  • Develop and present proposals for banking technology products and services, coordinating with business development, solution, delivery and subject matter experts to ensure proposed solutions address client requirements.
  • Support pricing and margin analysis and contribute relevant business, client and solution information required to evaluate opportunities.
  • Contribute to CGI's annual Customer Satisfaction Assessment activities and support follow-up actions that strengthen client relationships and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Review monthly client billing for accuracy, coordinate the resolution of billing questions, and follow up with clients regarding accounts receivable when required.
  • Maintain appropriate sales, client, business and audit documentation and assist with responses to internal audit requirements.
  • Stay informed about the Canadian financial services and credit union landscape, client priorities and relevant banking technology developments to support effective client conversations and opportunity identification.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience within the credit union or financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop client relationships and identify, develop, and support revenue-generating opportunities.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and objectives.
  • Strong business analysis capabilities, including the ability to gather, analyze, document and communicate business and system requirements.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate business information effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a thorough and quality-focused approach to work.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, organize work effectively and adapt to changing client and business requirements while working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and ability to travel within Canada as required.

Assets

  • Experience within the Canadian financial services sector.
  • Experience working with Canadian credit unions or within the Canadian credit union ecosystem.
  • Five or more years of experience in a business analysis capacity.
