Account Executive

Cieslok Group Ottawa



Department: Sales

Reports To: President & CEO

Location: Ottawa, ON

Structure: Hybrid 3 days in office


Compensation: Base salary of $60,000 (Junior AE) to $70,000 (Senior AE) paid as recoverable draw against commission. Commission rate: 5 percent to 8 percent sliding scale on local revenue. New business bonus: 5 percent commission per new client. Accelerator bonus: 7.5 percent to 10 percent on revenue above quarterly budget (uncapped). Territory budget: $850,000 (Junior) to $1,400,000 (Senior) annually. At-target total compensation: $85,000+ (Junior AE) to $144,600 (Senior AE). Draw recoverable against commission monthly; year-end balance resets to zero. First three months of base salary not counted toward draw recovery.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Account Executive is responsible for meeting or exceeding established revenue targets within their assigned territory by actively hunting new business, managing existing client relationships, and growing occupancy across the BCC Ottawa shelter network. This is a field-first role. The expectation is that the majority of time is spent in market, in front of clients and agencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively prospect and develop new direct client and agency relationships across the Ottawa market.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline through cold outreach, networking, referrals, and industry events.
  • Prepare and present proposals tailored to client objectives, including written presentations, spec creative, and cost details.
  • Manage accounts through the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract execution, campaign delivery, and renewal.
  • Conduct venue tours and client entertainment to deepen relationships and demonstrate the value of the BCC shelter network.
  • Build and submit a territory budget by account for the remainder of 2026 as directed.
  • Submit accurate weekly pipeline and activity reports to the President & CEO.
  • Monitor campaign execution to ensure successful delivery including production, installation, and proof of performance.
  • Support collections on accounts 45 days or more in arrears.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the Ottawa advertising market, competitive activity, and OOH industry trends.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum two years’ experience in media, agency, or direct sales in the Ottawa market.
  • Established relationships with Ottawa-area advertisers, agencies, and direct clients strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM tools an asset.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-directed, highly motivated, and comfortable working in a results-driven environment.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

Performance will be measured against the following KPIs on a monthly and quarterly basis:

Shelter Occupancy Rate

Hit growth goal by year end through local sales effort

Monthly New Client Acquisition

Minimum 4 new clients contracted per month

Monthly Sales Calls / Meetings

Minimum 20 client-facing meetings per month

Pipeline Value

Active pipeline maintained at 3x monthly revenue target at all times

Revenue to Budget

100% of assigned territory budget by Q4 2026

Proposal Activity

Minimum 10 proposals submitted per month

Renewal Rate

80% or above on renewing existing clients

Weekly Reporting

100% on-time submission of weekly pipeline report
