New business. Warm leads. Account growth. Incentive trips abroad. Fast progression!
Are you an experienced B2B salesperson looking for a role where you can win new business while also having warm opportunities and existing accounts to grow?
We're partnering with a leading UK Learning & Development business to recruit an Account Executive into their growing commercial team. This is a genuinely varied sales role where you'll be responsible for generating new business, working warm inbound and marketing-generated opportunities, and developing a portfolio of existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling.
You'll be selling a range of e-learning, digital skills, professional development and apprenticeship solutions to businesses across a variety of industries, working with decision-makers across HR, Learning & Development and senior leadership teams.
The Role
As an Account Executive, you'll manage the full sales cycle across new and existing business, from identifying opportunities through to closing and growing customer relationships.
You'll be responsible for:
- Generating new business through proactive outbound prospecting and business development.
- Working warm and inbound leads provided to you by the business.
- Taking ownership of a portfolio of allocated customer accounts and identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell.
- Building relationships with decision-makers across HR, L&D, People and senior leadership teams.
- Understanding customer challenges and recommending the right learning, development and digital skills solutions.
- Managing opportunities through the full sales cycle, from initial conversation through to close.
- Running virtual and face-to-face meetings and presenting solutions to prospective customers.
- Building long-term relationships that create repeat and additional revenue.
- Managing your pipeline and activity through CRM.
- Working closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth customer journey.
About You
You'll need a minimum of 3 years' B2B sales experience and a proven track record of working towards commercial targets.
We're looking for someone who is commercially driven, enjoys speaking to customers and wants to build a long-term career in sales.
You'll ideally have:
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience.
- A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Experience selling into businesses, ideally through a consultative sales approach.
- Confidence prospecting for new business and speaking with senior stakeholders.
- Experience managing a sales cycle from initial conversation through to close.
- Experience developing existing customer relationships and identifying upsell opportunities.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A target-driven and proactive mindset.
- The motivation to progress quickly and take advantage of development opportunities.
You don't need to have experience within Learning & Development. What's more important is that you have solid B2B sales experience, are commercially minded and enjoy building relationships and winning business.
Why Join?
This is a business that genuinely invests in its people. You'll be joining a supportive, social and high-performing team with a strong working environment and plenty of opportunities to progress.
You'll get:
- £42,000 to £45,000 base salary.
- £15-£20k (Estimate in the first year) uncapped OTE.
- Hybrid working in London.
- Structured onboarding and ongoing sales training.
- Regular coaching and development.
- Clear progression pathways, with many people achieving their first promotion within their first 12 months.
- A supportive team environment with experienced managers and salespeople around you.
- Incentive schemes and international incentive trips, with previous destinations including Las Vegas and Los Angeles, alongside many more.
- Plenty of opportunities for professional and personal development.
- The opportunity to build a long-term career within a growing organisation.
- The chance to sell solutions that genuinely help businesses develop their people and improve performance.
- If you're an experienced B2B salesperson looking for an Account Executive role where you're not relying solely on cold outbound, with new business, warm leads and existing accounts to grow, this could be a great next step for your sales career.
