Account Manager Wholesale - Remote Portugal

Position Summary

The Wholesale Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing assigned retail accounts. This role owns customer relationships, drives sales, manages orders from placement through fulfillment, and works cross-functionally to deliver a high level of customer service.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of wholesale retail accounts.
• Build relationships with buyers, planners, and merchandising teams.
• Identify opportunities to increase sales and expand product placement.
• Prepare and present product assortments and sales recommendations.
• Enter and manage customer orders through EDI systems and customer portals.
• Coordinate with operations, purchasing, and fulfillment to ensure accurate, on-time shipments.
• Resolve order issues, inventory shortages, and customer concerns quickly.
• Monitor account performance and maintain accurate sales forecasts.
• Meet or exceed assigned sales and revenue goals.
• Travel to customer meetings, retail locations, and 4–6 furniture markets or trade shows each year. Travel may require up to one week per event.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of wholesale account management or outside sales experience, preferably in home décor, furniture, or consumer products.
• Experience managing large retail accounts.
• Demonstrated ability to grow sales and manage customer relationships.
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Office.
• Experience with CRMsystems, EDI, and retailer order portals.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel as required.
